Top California Transactional Firm Seeks Legal Document Proofreader Join a highly respected transactional law firm with a strong reputation for representing banking clients with banking compliance. The team includes 10 attorneys. This is a full-time onsite role in Irvine with a consistent schedule and minimal overtime.
We've worked with this firm for 10+ years and have placed multiple staff members who are still there and thriving.
Legal Document Proofreader Responsibilities:
+ Draft and format compliance manuals using attorney edits, ensuring accuracy in grammar, punctuation, and citation.
+ Incorporate redlines from attorneys into templates and maintain consistency across documents.
+ Proofread for clarity, passive voice, and technical compliance standards.
+ Assist with monthly newsletters and webinar outlines for banking clients.
+ Manage cyclical document production, including updates to 15+ compliance manuals (some exceeding 700 pages).
+ Utilize advanced Word features, including macros and specialized headings, to streamline formatting.
Hours:
+ 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
+ 37.5-hour workweek with very minimal overtime

We are seeking experienced Finish Carpenters for a project starting soon in Ontario, CA. This role involves installation of crown moulding, baseboards, casework, cabinets, and miscellaneous trim work. The ideal candidates will be reliable, detail-oriented, and skilled in delivering high-quality finishes.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform finish carpentry tasks including trim, moulding, and cabinetry.
+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
+ Communicate effectively with site leads and team members.
+ Adhere to safety standards and project timelines.
**Essential Skills**
+ 4+ years of experience in finish carpentry.
+ Ability to read blueprints.
+ Proficiency with hand and power tools.
+ OSHA 10 certification.
+ Reliable transportation.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Journeyman-level experience preferred.
+ Asbestos certification is a plus (required for VA sites).
+ Experience with crown moulding, baseboards, casework, cabinets, and miscellaneous trim.
+ Must provide own tools, including necessary nail guns for finish work.

What's the Job?
+ Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
+ Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of machine tools, including CNC tools.
+ Fit and assemble machined metal parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools.
+ Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
+ Edit and write simple programs as needed for machine operations.
What's Needed?
