**Position Overview**
We are seeking dependable and hardworking **Production Handlers** to support daily manufacturing and material‑movement activities. This role involves loading, unloading, transporting materials, supporting machine operators, and helping maintain an organized and efficient production environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Load, unload, and move materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site.
+ Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to identify required materials and tasks.
+ Open containers using tools such as steel cutters, crowbars, claw hammers, and other hand tools.
+ Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, or shelves by hand.
+ Load materials into vehicles and secure loads using strapping, bracing, or padding.
+ Move materials to designated locations with hand‑operated cranes, hoists, or by signaling crane/hoist operators.
+ Lift heavy objects manually or using power hoists.
+ Clean work areas, equipment, and machines using brooms, rags, and cleaning compounds.
+ Assist machine operators by making simple adjustments or repairs (e.g., realigning belts, replacing rollers).
+ Assemble crates for products using hand tools and precut lumber.
+ Shovel materials (e.g., sand, gravel, metals, plastics, chemicals) into machine hoppers or containers such as wheelbarrows or scrap bins.
+ Occasionally operate industrial trucks or electric hoists to assist with material handling.
+ Use a pallet jack safely and effectively.
**Qualifications**
+ Good math, reading, and language skills.
+ Must be able to speak English
+ Ability to follow detailed instructions for equipment operation and material movement.
+ Basic computer skills
+ Ability to operate a pallet jack is preferred
+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
+ Prior experience in a production or material‑handling environment is a plus.

8. Accept direction from multiple sources of authority.
9. Prepare chemical formulations in accordance with written instructions.
10. Work in sequence using many components with high degree of accuracy.
11. Physically transport and handle chemicals and raw materials up to 50 pounds.
12. Climb catwalks, work around machinery with hot and slippery surfaces.
13. Observe conditions and quarantine if necessary any unacceptable or questionable raw materials and/or chemicals and communicate to supervisor as necessary.
14. Comply with safety rules and the worksite safety plan.
15. Comply with environmental guidelines, and federal and state-mandated RCRA waste handling and recycling procedures.
16. This position is additionally responsible as part of the manufacturing flexibility program to cross-train and be fully qualified to work in an at least one other alternate position within the manufacturing operation.
Education, Technical Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:
