**What's the Job?**
+ Support Fiber Optic, Microwave, and P.25 800Mhz radio systems (Transport Systems).
+ Participate in a shared 24x7x365 on-call rotation with other engineers.
+ Perform break/fix support of transport network systems to ensure continuous operation.
+ Support remotely the change control work associated with deploying fiber optic, microwave, and radio systems.
+ Follow change management processes and adhere to organizational standards for network configuration changes.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, telecommunications, engineering, or a related technical field.
+ Minimum of 2 years' experience in transport networking or related fields.
+ Experience with Ciena Carrier Ethernet/DWDM, Nokia SAR Carrier Ethernet, SEL ICON, Nortel, and Ciena Legacy SONET equipment preferred.
+ Strong knowledge of transport networking and support at an enterprise level.

+ Operate and manage routine and emergency services on critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, etc.
+ Assist in the design and build out of new facilities and projects aimed at increasing current facility efficiency.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor's Degree or Technical (Military/Trade School) Degree with relevant experience.
+ 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
+ 0-2 years of management experience.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong leadership and organizational skills.
