Here's a glimpse into your day to day: * Individuals in this position are responsible for planning, organizing, and performing detailed electrical and controls design and support management of engineering activities. * This position receives general administrative direction from the division manager and is responsible for process controls design of multiple projects of varying complexity. * Research applicable industry standards, prepare engineering studies, analysis of systems, preliminary and detailed engineering designs. * Develop engineering specifications and project cost estimates. * Review work of project design team, check progress of work and alert managers to change of scope and additional services. * Coordinate most aspects of project document completion. * Direct CAD designers for the preparation of construction drawings. * Interpret and apply applicable codes. * Independently work with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to codes is required. * Coordinate project design with other engineering disciplines.
