Responsible for measuring, threading adjusting flange fit, and facing the flange on piece of pipe. Work also includes operation of the machine and a crane to move pipe in and out of machine.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Identify fabrication requirements written on each piece of pipe (5%)
* Place pipe in machine, center the pipe, and tighten for work. After the pipe is in place, the operator will machine tapered threads into the pipe. During this process, the machine operator is responsible for verifying measurements, such as thread depth and correct taper (30%)
* After the threads are cut the operator tests the flange to make sure it screws onto the pipe properly. Adjustments are made to the threads if an issue occurs (10%)
* Applies glue on pipe and flange and uses the machine to tighten the flange onto the pipe (20%)
* Runs the cutting tool across the surface of the face of the flange to flush fit the flange onto the pipe (30%)
* Remove pipe from machine and place on boards (5%)

Training

Scope includes new-hire training, temporary employee training and on-going employee cross-training. Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to employees during training to maximize their learning

Report on progress of employees under guidance during training periods to management. Conduct routine training audits to identify training gaps. Conduct re-training to correct deficiencies.

Responsible for measuring, threading adjusting flange fit, and facing the flange on piece of pipe. Work also includes operation of the machine and a crane to move pipe in and out of machine.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify fabrication requirements written on each piece of pipe (5%)
Place pipe in machine, center the pipe, and tighten for work. After the pipe is in place, the operator will machine tapered threads into the pipe. During this process, the machine operator is responsible for verifying measurements, such as thread depth and correct taper (30%)
After the threads are cut the operator tests the flange to make sure it screws onto the pipe properly. Adjustments are made to the threads if an issue occurs (10%)
Applies glue on pipe and flange and uses the machine to tighten the flange onto the pipe (20%)
Runs the cutting tool across the surface of the face of the flange to flush fit the flange onto the pipe (30%)
Remove pipe from machine and place on boards (5%)

The Manufacturing Technician I will assemble products by using a variety of specialized equipment, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment to perform a series of operations to correctly produce/assemble/test medical devices.
Work with Manufacturing Lead and/or Specialist to ensure customer demand and the production schedules are met.
Participate in basic problem-solving activities to ensure stable operation of the work cell.
Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to Manufacturing Lead or Production Supervisor.
Observe, maintain, coordinate and complete standard work.
Participate in BS concepts and continuous improvement activities within designated work area.
Sustain 5S activities by maintaining a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
Participate as an active member of the production team and assist in product processing.
Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company's Quality System.
Complete required documentation relating to regulatory requirements.
Qualifications: Minimum Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or some work experience.
- Ability to read and follow documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, and work instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications.
- Ability to work with others collaboratively.
Preferred:
- GMP knowledge
- Medical device manufacturing experience.
- Microscope experience
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in areas that may contain adhesives, solvents, and chemical processes.
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands at arm's length, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend and twist.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to observe and inspect small parts over extended periods of time

The Senior Technician Production (A&B flowcell assembler) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for supporting the daily production needs which include following established operation procedures, maintaining appropriate training records for your role, sustaining a smooth flow of material and the execution of work orders to on-time completion. We operate using Daily Management principles, providing immediate guidance and feedback to our associates, and focusing on daily, monthly, and quarterly objectives. Our work delivers both instruments and reagents to customers in hospital and laboratory environments, supporting patient health.
This position reports to the Manager of Production Operations and is part of the A&B Assembly Team located in Chaska, MN and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
* Execute the daily production plan to due date conformance and quality standards; Understand workflow and daily production goals.
* Able to execute complex assembly tasks and module level testing following standard operating procedures with minimal supervision.
* Troubleshoot issues as they arise, escalating as necessary or working directly with Technicians, Engineering, and Quality to fix assembly related issues on the manufacturing line.
The essential requirements of the job include:
* High school degree (or equivalent).
* And must have 5+ years of experience.
* Train to and follow SOPs, engineering drawings, work orders, and other specifications while maintaining FDA requirements.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
* Ability to travel 75% to Miami, FL facility for on-going training and support in first year of employment. Timeline is subject to change based on business needs.
* Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 40 lbs.
* Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time to perform tasks.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
* Experience in a regulated industry preferred (e.g., FDA, ISO).
* Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and the basic Windows operating system.

The hourly range for this role is $24-$28 USD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

Job Summary:
The Senior Production Technician will investigate and conduct root cause failure mode analysis on the Elucent navigation system, which consists of an electromechanical chassis, computer, display, and an electrical patient pad.
