You must also be able to work closely with the Quality Control Technicians in case of quality problems. You must be able to perform all of your duties in a safe and timely fashion. The technician's main responsibility is to keep the line running acceptable quality product. Maintain operation of designated line. Be able to supervise Helpers on line and be responsible for their actions. Ability to take ownership of the line when it is down and be responsible for getting the line back up and running under normal running conditions. Ability to train their helpers to perform properly in accordance with the helper's responsibilities. Responsible for following safety rules, such as wearing safety gloves, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection and safety glasses in assigned areas and the appropriate safety procedures that apply. A technician is also responsible for the enforcement of safety rules to the helper. Responsible for clean ups and daily clean up that is due by the end of the shift. Ability to do all technician paperwork, key information into the computer system, and be responsible for all products run on the line. Ability to understand the process and operation of the equipment. Drive forklift as needed to move skids and/or supplies in a safe manner. Other tasks as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications Prefer at least 1 year as an Apprentice Technician or approval from upper management. Possess basic computer/typing skills. The team operates around 50 sites in 32 states with a robust development pipeline. **About the role** At our Middle Point facility in Murfreeboro, TN, we convert landfill gas into pipeline quality natural gas (High Btu or Renewable Natural Gas). Our Operations Technician operates the landfill gas processing facility. We process the landfill gas by removing the majority of the non-methane components including CO2, water, sulfur and volatile and non-volatile organic compounds to attain pipeline quality. The RNG Operator will operate and maintain Landfill gas to High BTU processing facility; which will include Guild gas process, Gas Compressors, CO2 removal system, Thermal-Oxidizers, and H2S removal systems. We also perform intermediate to sophisticated level Instrument and Control repair, maintenance, calibration and solving. **Schedule** There will be four set schedules of 12 hours shifts from either 7a-7p or 7p-7a to all for 24/7 coverage of the site. The schedule is subject to change per business needs and management discretion. **Key accountabilities** + Own the safe operation of the plant during assigned shift in the most efficient and productive method to maintain compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and prescribed safety and environmental standards. + Make periodic inspections of plant equipment to resolve accurate and normal operating conditions. Check and record operational data such as fluid levels, temperatures and pressures, compare to trends and have the ability to make corrections as needed. + Review daily operating reports and other records to ensure specified operating characteristics in control of the plant equipment. + Perform preventive maintenance and solving on plant instrumentation and equipment. + Detect and correct faulty and malfunctioning mechanical and electrical components, devices and equipment. + Operate sophisticated instrumentation and process control systems. + Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters. + Tackle and repair electrical system wiring from control wiring up to 480 volts. Install, remove and modify equipment. + Advise Lead Operation Technician and Regional Manager of shutdown or major changes in power output of unit. + Maintain all plant equipment and structures per manufactures and Archaea Energy guidelines. + Maintain a clean work space including the plant building, control room, rest room, break room and grounds. + Maintain daily operation logs for shift per prescribed standards. + Assist in planning maintenance and outage activities. + Assist in defining, ordering and procuring all required parts. + Responds in a timely manner to callouts and works overtime as the need arises. + Perform analytical tests as needed (i.e. PH, Conductivity, methane, H2S, moisture). + Support all facets of Hazardous waste handling and management in accordance with training. Duties may range from filling of waste containers, accurate labeling, movement of containers, completing appropriate paperwork, and signing of Hazardous waste shipping manifest or receiving hazardous products. + This position requires 25%-50% travel per month (First 12 months in the position will require 50% travel per month when hired for a new plant. About the role At our Middle Point facility in Murfreeboro, TN, we convert landfill gas into pipeline quality natural gas (High Btu or Renewable Natural Gas). Our Operations Technician operates the landfill gas processing facility. We process the landfill gas by removing the majority of the non-methane components including CO2, water, sulfur and volatile and non-volatile organic compounds to attain pipeline quality. The RNG Operator will operate and maintain Landfill gas to High BTU processing facility; which will include Guild gas process, Gas Compressors, CO2 removal system, Thermal-Oxidizers, and H2S removal systems. We also perform intermediate to sophisticated level Instrument and Control repair, maintenance, calibration and solving. Schedule There will be four set schedules of 12 hours shifts from either 7a-7p or 7p-7a to all for 24/7 coverage of the site. Fluidra's looking for a Quality Technician to join our team in Portland, TN. WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE The Quality Technician position at FLUIDRA will be responsible (under limited supervision) for maintaining quality standards by reviewing, analyzing and disposition of incoming and in-process materials resulting from customer returned products (RMA Analysis) and/or internally rejected materials (MRB) from any area within the Supply Chain process (Receiving, manufacturing, warehouse / handling and inspection areas), recording any quality results and maintaining quality records per company policy. The QC Inspector shall be experienced in writing NCMR's (non-conforming material reports through Oracle preferably) and documenting Corrective Actions Reports for Quality Engineers as well as utilizing emails to communicate these rejections/CARs to buyers and Supplier's when needed. This person will interact with material handlers on a day-to-day basis as well as with Receiving, Production Planning/Scheduling and Inventory Control teams to assure accurate and efficient processing/movement of non-conforming materials both physically and in the ERP system which will include acceptance and disposition into the appropriate sub-inventory location of products mainly via the FLUIDRA MRB Meetings. At the same time, this person will ensure both the RMA and MRB areas are appropriately organized and cleaned including accuracy of product as per Oracle inventory requirements. This person will also support the Receiving Inspection area/process with material handling support to QC Inspectors when needed as well as visual inspections when materials require either sample or 100% inspections. Other duties or changes may apply depending on company/business needs. Additionally, you will: Responsible for routinely conducting departmental Quality and/or Safety Audits Perform inspections for compliance with specifications using blueprints, drawings, inspection procedures, and prior knowledge of fabrication methods to evaluate if deficiencies are present in systems, structures, assemblies, or parts. Conduct in-process and final inspections at various checkpoints during maintenance activities. This includes installations or repairs of removed, disassembled, repaired, and assembled equipment; installation of structures, systems, and associated components; equipment to eliminate work hold-ups and rework; and to ensure conformance to specified requirements. Interpret inspection acceptance/rejection criteria to identify discrepancies and non-conformances. Assemble pertinent information and materials necessary to effectively accomplish planning, scheduling, inspections, and reporting of inspection results. Interpretation and judgment of the acceptance/rejection of an item is based on a review of the work against the written requirements. Judgment and interpretation is based on training and experience. Conduct training of lower level and same level inspection personnel by demonstrating the proper techniques for performing Quality Control inspection, interpreting inspection results, documenting inspection results, documenting non-conformances, and reviewing and closing out of completed work order tasks and associated inspection documentation. Evaluate the adequacy of specific programs used to train and test inspection, examination, and testing personnel. Develop, write, review, and approve inspection, examination, and testing procedures and evaluate the adequacy of such procedures to accomplish the inspection, examination, and test objectives. Conduct surveillances, observations and submit reports and recommendations. Analyze data from surveillances and observations of work activities and documentation to identify problems. Summarize data and major points and submit reports to management for review and action. Maintain files, charts, and status reports on progress of inspections and documentation. Assist in developing new procedural controls to address the quality control aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS) Perform independent oversight of S.R. Smith programs and processes through use of performance-based techniques. Responsible for written and verbal reporting of the conclusions of the assessments under the cognizance of a lead auditor. Routinely monitor plant and industry information to remain cognizant of assigned technical areas, and interface with line personnel, industry contacts, and regulatory agencies. Perform other duties as assigned. WHAT WE SEEK 5+ years of quality control inspection experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to perform at this level. Must have experience both in MRB and RMA's areas including analysis and disposition of product as well as accurate segregation to prevent unintended use. The ability to interpret engineering specifications/drawings for disposition of products. Interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills sufficient to organize, maintain and collaborate with other departments to accurately complete paperwork, understands documentation and effectively communicates with fellow employees for disposition of products. Extreme attention-to-detail, especially in the documentation of Non-Conforming product, Corrective Actions and disposition of materials. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word as well as email's. Basic knowledge of measurement instruments (e.g., microscope, optical comparator, caliper, micrometer, pins gauge and gauge blocks). Good arithmetic skills are required. Must have good English written and verbal communication skills. Forklift driver certified a plus. With big ambitions, we specialize in the development, construction and operation of RNG, landfill-gas-to-electric and dairy digester facilities. The team operates around 50 sites in 32 states with a robust development pipeline. About the role At our Middle Point facility in Murfreeboro, TN, we convert landfill gas into pipeline quality natural gas (High Btu or Renewable Natural Gas). Our Operations Technician operates the landfill gas processing facility. We process the landfill gas by removing the majority of the non-methane components including CO2, water, sulfur and volatile and non-volatile organic compounds to attain pipeline quality. The RNG Operator will operate and maintain Landfill gas to High BTU processing facility; which will include Guild gas process, Gas Compressors, CO2 removal system, Thermal-Oxidizers, and H2S removal systems. We also perform intermediate to sophisticated level Instrument and Control repair, maintenance, calibration and solving. ScheduleThere will be four set schedules of 12 hours shifts from either 7a-7p or 7p-7a to all for 24/7 coverage of the site. The schedule is subject to change per business needs and management discretion. Key accountabilities Own the safe operation of the plant during assigned shift in the most efficient and productive method to maintain compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and prescribed safety and environmental standards. Make periodic inspections of plant equipment to resolve accurate and normal operating conditions. Check and record operational data such as fluid levels, temperatures and pressures, compare to trends and have the ability to make corrections as needed. Review daily operating reports and other records to ensure specified operating characteristics in control of the plant equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and solving on plant instrumentation and equipment. Detect and correct faulty and malfunctioning mechanical and electrical components, devices and equipment. Operate sophisticated instrumentation and process control systems. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters. Tackle and repair electrical system wiring from control wiring up to 480 volts. Install, remove and modify equipment. Advise Lead Operation Technician and Regional Manager of shutdown or major changes in power output of unit. Maintain all plant equipment and structures per manufactures and Archaea Energy guidelines. Maintain a clean work space including the plant building, control room, rest room, break room and grounds. Maintain daily operation logs for shift per prescribed standards. Assist in planning maintenance and outage activities. Assist in defining, ordering and procuring all required parts. Responds in a timely manner to callouts and works overtime as the need arises. Perform analytical tests as needed (i. e. PH, Conductivity, methane, H2S, moisture). Support all facets of Hazardous waste handling and management in accordance with training. Duties may range from filling of waste containers, accurate labeling, movement of containers, completing appropriate paperwork, and signing of Hazardous waste shipping manifest or receiving hazardous products. This position requires 25%-50% travel per month (First 12 months in the position will require 50% travel per month when hired for a new plant. Essential experience Intermediate Electrical, Chemical and Mechanical experience. Previous landfill gas operation experience a plus, minimum of 1-3 years in landfill gas processing, chemical plant operations, industrial gas operations, or power plant operations or equivalent. Understanding of process control systems as applied to landfill gas collection and processing. Technical / Solving skills with ability to read and understand sophisticated technical manuals and schematics. Understanding a variety of sensors and transducer systems, calibrate, and solve different types of pressure, level, flow and temperature sensors, understand the complete plant process and how it's affected by the control system, including fixing mechanical systems as the need arises. Knowledge of basic math, gas chemistry, piping and instrumentation drawings. Follow established procedures with minimal amount of general supervision (i. e. , work independently). Ability to recognize colors, able to distinguish between the red and green status indicators on PLC and wire colors. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
