You can choose between shifts that run Sun, Mon, Tue or Wed, Thu, Fri with rotating Saturdays. These are 12-hour shifts (either 6-6 or 7-7; days or overnights). We also have Mon-Fri 8-hour shifts and Mon-Thu 10-hour shifts available. A general production worker will work on an assembly line to produce garage doors. You will be responsible to complete production orders accurately and safely in a timely manner. You will also cross train on other entry level positions and develop product knowledge. Responsibilities/Requirements include: Manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination for operation of hand/power tools Ability to learn product, work well under pressure, and be mechanically inclined with the ability to operate power tools Standing/Walking: Job requires standing throughout the entire shift. Short distance walking of 5-15 feet on a periodic basis during the shift, depending upon the position assigned. Frequent stooping, bending, walking, carrying, and lifting: Job requires lifting and stacking of banded door panels to various levels. Maximum required individual lifting limit is forty-five pounds. Must be able safely work with another team member to carry or lift door panels in excess of forty-five pounds. Frequency of lifting and carrying is job task dependent. Pushing and Pulling: Pushing of carts is often required. Occasional pulling to steer the cart is required (appropriate training techniques will be covered on this area for your safety). A force of 50lbs is often required to move a loaded cart. Pushing forces required in excess of 50 lbs. requires two persons. They support the following events: Mission Command Training, (Joint, CORP, Division, and Brigade) War Fighters (Joint Operations, CORP, Division, and Brigade) they also coordinate with the Command Information Center for Video Teleconferences set up Senior Mentor Conferences workshops. These are either supported at the exercise unit (worldwide) location or here at Ft. Leavenworth. All Seminar Classes, After Action Reviews, Combine Arms Rehearsals, Battle Update Briefs, and Media Engagement Events are recorded. Also the production technician takes many still photos and videos of the above events. Any and all of these products are used by the army in their training of the units. The production technician places these products into a take home training packet that can be used by the exercised unit and the Operation Group back in Ft. Leavenworth. They also have to edit, cut and provide a DVD or CD of the above products to the Army so that they can review and use them in an informed manner when training an exercised unit. At Ft. Leavenworth the production technician is tasked to help set up the team conference rooms for classes and briefings. The production technician also sets up LCD projectors and computers throughout the team building to support training on the teams. High School Diploma. The Night Production position is proficient at three positions on a line, able to perform all the functions of those positions in an accurate and efficient manner. The individual at this level should be capable of performing all of the following functions; Bagger, Mixer, and Floor Operations. Complies with all safety regulations, work rules, SOP's and company policies. Ensures that line meets all BRC, GMP and safety standards. This position works 6:00 pm to 6:00 am on a variable schedule 3 days one week and 4 days the next week. Major Accountabilities Competent operation of equipment and execution of all aspects of Mixing, Bagging, and Floor Operations Responsible for completing all paperwork in an accurate manner. Responsible for following all written instructions and formulas. Responsible for complying with all safety regulations, food safety procedures including all BRC and GMP requirements and specifications, and use of the appropriate PPE. Generalized Tasks Clean and sterilize vats and factory processing areas. Follow recipes to produce food products of specified flavor, texture, clarity, bouquet, or color. Inspect equipment after cleaning to ensure that product residue has been removed. Observe and listen to equipment to detect possible malfunctions, such as leaks or plugging, and report malfunctions supervisors. Place products on carts or conveyors to transfer them to the next stage of processing. Record production and test data for each food product batch, such as the ingredients used, temperature, test results, and time cycle. Set up, operate, and tend equipment that mixes, blends, or processes ingredients in the manufacturing of food products, according to formulas or recipes. Perform safety inspections in manufacturing or industrial setting. Requirements Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse or related environment preferred.
