Position Summary
As a Financial Sales Representative with Marquette Bank, you will be responsible for a portfolio of Bank customers. You will manage customers' existing relationships, as well as determine the need for additional retail financial products to increase customer profitability. You will have extensive contact with customers and potential customers requiring listening and probing skills to identify sales opportunities.
The Financial Sales Representative Flex is required to have a flexible schedule and the ability to travel to multiple branches as scheduled. The representative must be comfortable working with different employees and customers on a daily basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Increase relationships with assigned customer portfolio:
Plan and execute telephone calling program for assigned customer portfolio, to introduce new products and services
Develop consultative selling relationship through personal contact via telephone, mail and appointments with customers
Increase profitability of portfolio by increasing deposits, loans, investments and insurance, according to annual goals
Analyze customer needs and promote appropriate products and services
Increase customer portfolio:
Use walk-in branch traffic opportunities to identify customer needs and promote appropriate products
Identify external opportunities for new customers, including personal and professional contacts
Promote and sell bank products to other area businesses, at expos and other community events
Maintain a comprehensive tickler file including customer information and future sales opportunities
Process the necessary applications, forms and other required documentation to properly set up accounts and loans within regulatory and Bank guidelines
Actively comply with all applicable laws and regulations to include the Bank Secrecy Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, and all other deposit, lending, or non-deposit service regulations, adhering to the Bank's internal policies, procedures, and risk management responsibilities contained in the Employee Handbook, the Employee Code of Conduct, and other applicable policies.

Knowledge/Abilities/Experience and Training Required:
High School graduate or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years financial sales or comparable experience
Willingness to sell the Bank's services on a proactive basis
Strong interpersonal skills including good oral communication, effective listening skills and quality customer service skills
Ability to successfully complete extensive product and sales training towards customer relationship development

The Day to Day as a Financial Services Representative
Financial Services Representatives are one of the primary points of contact for SCU members. They are responsible for creating an exceptional member experience by engaging with members and educating them on the products and services SCU has to offer. A typical day will look like:
Responsible for identifying, educating, presenting and cross selling SCU products and services to new and existing members in accordance with SCU's member engagement model.
Responsible for meeting individual sales and operational goals as well as assisting the branch team in achieving branch goals.
Recognize cross sale opportunities through needs based financial conversations, referring members to mortgage, business lending/services and investments.
Ensures consistent delivery of SCU's member engagement model leveraging technology including tablets, enhanced ATM's and other digital service channels available to SCU members.
Maintain cross functional capabilities. Process financial transitions for members including opening and closing of accounts. Input, review, negotiate and close member loan application requests. Process deposits and withdrawals from accounts. Efficient in all teller duties as needed.

Processes deposits to share, share draft, and other savings accounts.
Disburses cash or check withdrawals.
Provides money orders and cash advances.
Receives loan payments and service charge payments for services.

The Day to Day as a Financial Services Representative
Financial Services Representatives are one of the primary points of contact for SCU members. They are responsible for creating an exceptional member experience by engaging with members and educating them on the products and services SCU has to offer. A typical day will look like:

Responsible for identifying, educating, presenting and cross selling SCU products and services to new and existing members in accordance with SCU's member engagement model.
Responsible for meeting individual sales and operational goals as well as assisting the branch team in achieving branch goals.
Recognize cross sale opportunities through needs based financial conversations, referring members to mortgage, business lending/services and investments.
Ensures consistent delivery of SCU's member engagement model leveraging technology including tablets, enhanced ATM's and other digital service channels available to SCU members.
Maintain cross functional capabilities. Process financial transitions for members including opening and closing of accounts. Input, review, negotiate and close member loan application requests. Process deposits and withdrawals from accounts. Efficient in all teller duties as needed.
Provides one or more of the following services for members, in person, by telephone or by mail:
Processes deposits to share, share draft, and other savings accounts.
Disburses cash or check withdrawals.
Provides money orders and cash advances.
Receives loan payments and service charge payments for services.
Process transfers between accounts as required.
Processes automatic distribution forms, recording allotments according to member's request.
Daily opens and closes his/her teller terminal, accounts for cash assigned, received, disbursed. Accurately balances to teller terminal close report and remits daily work to appropriate supervisor for disposition.
Perform required OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) screens as outlined in the Non-Member Verafin Processing policy and reports any positive matches to the BSA Group. Complies with BSA requirements of completing CTR and SAR.
Responds to routine member inquiry regarding the operation of accounts, access to services, account discrepancies, adding or reducing service features on various accounts, and assisting members.
Work might be performed on the teller platform, at the Drive-Up windows or in the lobby.
Foster and maintains relationships with members. Responsible for providing prompt, professional, helpful, knowledgeable and courteous member service Investigates member concerns, researches and recommends a resolution. Ensures we are meeting expectations with member service satisfaction results.
Operates computer to accurately post transactions, access account information, balance transactions, and generally update member account transactions and information.
Assist others to complete tasks and work assignments.
