Job Summary: Troubleshoot and perform mechanical repairs and adjustments of production machinery and equipment, including preventative maintenance. Major Accountabilities: * Performs job duties in a safe and responsible manner; * Follows all safety and environmental policies and procedures; * Communicates openly with others, keeping them informed of issues and progress, shares job knowledge and works effectively with others; * Installs, upgrades, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains plant equipment; * Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests and makes adjustments; * Reads and interprets equipment manuals, prints and work orders to perform the required maintenance and service; * Performs regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities; * Uses a hand tools, power tools and material handling equipment; * Knowledge of IATF 16949 * Knowledge of ISO 14001: 2015 Qualification: * Minimum of five years electrical and / or mechanical maintenance experience * Automotive Tier 1 Experience * Crane certification * Forklift license Work Environment: * Constant communication with employees, peers, and management. * Frequent distractions and interruptions * Multiple demands in a challenging and fast paced- team orientated environment * The employee must maintain an excellent attendance record, which is defined as being at work all the time and on time. * Ability to read and follow work instructions. * Ability to apply understanding of details but simple written or oral instructions.     Long Description Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance service. Key Responsibilities * Follow Standardized Work Instructions. * Mechanical maintenance of large stamping presses and feed line equipment. * Plumbing basic repair, replace drains, run pipe threader. * Maintenance of air compressors and air driers. * Conveyor systems air, electric and vibro units. * Hydraulic pumps, trash pumps, oil pumps. * Welding arc, mig tig and spot basic knowledge. * Manlifts, ladders, roof work, and outside work. * Must follow all OSHA and plant safety rules including lock-out tag-out, etc. * Rebuilding of cylinders and pumps of all kinds. * Fabricating of scrap trays, chutes, and work benches. * Supports the teams in operational improvement. * Develops Initial Standard Work Practices with the teams. * Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance and repairs of production equipment during machine service. * Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs. * Performs mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines. * Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. * Any other duties deemed necessary or appropriate. Knowledge and Education * HS diploma/GED + advanced technical training in electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLCs. * Prefer USDOL Journeyman's certificate or equivalent work experience or skills training. * 5 years previous employment in a manufacturing environment - automotive preferred. Key Qualifications/Requirements * Must be able to drive forklift and maintain certification. * Must be able to work at heights, working on overhead cranes, repairing ceiling lights, parking lot lights and able to work in tunnels and pits. * Must have strength and stamina to lift and maneuver heavy objects. * Electrical 12-volt dc to 600-volt ac basic working knowledge. * Basic carpenter skills, painting, repair drywall, ceiling work, building offices. * Problem Solving - Recognize and solve the malfunctioning of the machine and recognize and solve quality problems of formed part.
