Job Summary: This role reviews customers requirements and prepares/updates production schedule. Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum five years of experience/training in manufacturing, or equivalent combination of education and experience Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and inventory management system (CMS) Excellent time management, decision making, and problem solving skills Must be able to prioritize and work with minimum supervision Must have a good knowledge of the English language Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements Just in time customer demand Knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF 16949 Essential Functions: Maintain and update the production schedule Communicate schedule to off-shift supervisors, including any additional information they need to be made aware of Work with improvement team and tool room to coordinate die trials Maintain minimum run standards to ensure productivity. Monitor Supplier on-time delivery performance with shipping department. Liaise between production and shipping ensure on time delivery Input data into Press Hits chart, Pressroom OEE chart, and Pressroom Attainment chart Schedule bank builds for die or press maintenance needs Review hot-sheet and update schedule, add jobs, or change counts according to production requirements; set priorities for the off-shift according to requirements from hot-sheet Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Materials Manager Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Required Education and Experience: * Bachelor's Degree? Community College courses in Business/ Supply Chain Management related discipline * Strong communicator in the English language, both written and oral * Experience using MRP / ERP systems * Minimum 5 years' experience in similar position * Certified in Production and Inventory Management (APICS, CPIM) preferred * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications * High level of time management, problem solving and analysis skills * Strong negotiation skills with the ability to reason and influence at all levels Essential Functions: * Prepare weekly production schedule using the information from CMS * Review all customer demands for fluctuation and adjust production schedule accordingly * Monitor daily production output versus production schedule to ensure customer demand quantity is met Identify gaps and drive solutions, including a metric on production performance to the requested production schedule * Update schedule daily with production quantities and balance owing * Maintain a lean manufacturing culture driving run size and safety level improvements * Liaise between production and shipping to ensure on time delivery * Plan and schedule weekly overtime and determine labor capacity with the input of Production Supervisors/ Operations Manager * Review scheduling methods to continuously improve scheduling system to support production requirements * Complete all Engineering change related activities (e.g. Bank build, build out, engineering level change, new part #) and all APQP related activities as required * Review inventory level of finished goods and WIP to ensure inventory turn targets are achieved * Assist Inventory Control Analyst determine root cause and develop corrective actions for inventory variance issues.
