Responsibilities:
* Responsible for assisting patient with and per plan of care, the following;
* Baths, Oral hygiene, Dressing and undressing, Toileting activities, feeding, etc
* Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
* Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
* Exercise according to the plan of care
* Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
* Patient's laundry
* Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.)
* Observation and teaching of home safety practices
* Recognition of an emergency situation and knowledge of emergency management procedures
* Must follow patients plan of care and complete all tasks assigned
* Communicates in a constant, clear, and effective way with the client, family/caregiver and office

Salary: $14 - $18 / per hour The State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Therapist. The STNA performs various personal care services, as necessary, to meet the patient's needs. The STNA provides service in accordance with Maxim's philosophy, standards and policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Observes and documents patient condition and reports any changes, to the assigned nurse supervisor.

Job Responsibilities
Provide client-facing care as assigned
Provide assistance with daily tasks as directed in the client's personalized plan of care, including but not limited to: feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, providing transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping

Assist with various office / administrative tasks
Participate in office and field on-call as needed

Train and educate field staff as needed to ensure services are provided in accordance with brand standards
Complete new caregiver introductions for home care cases and staffing clients

High school diploma or GED
Minimum one (1) year of documented home care assistance and/or direct care experience at an assisted living or skilled nursing facility, etc., is preferred

Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance (proof of insurance is required)
Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
Ability to adhere to HIPAA and ensure confidentiality and security of the client's medical information
