Why Join Maxim? + Competitive Pay & Weekly Paychecks + Health, Dental, Vision, HSA and Life Insurance + Paid Time Off + 401(k) Savings Plan + Maxcares Awards Program Key Responsibilities: + Provide direct nursing care to students, including chronic condition management (e.g., diabetes, asthma, seizure disorders). + Administer prescribed medications and treatments per physician orders and school policy. + Conduct health assessments, screenings, and evaluations. + Develop and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and Emergency Care Plans (ECPs). + Participate in IEP/504 meetings as the healthcare representative. + Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with state, federal, and district guidelines. + Serve as a liaison between the school, family, healthcare providers, and community agencies. + Promote health education and wellness among students and staff. + Respond to health-related emergencies and provide first aid/triage. + Ensure compliance with immunization and communicable disease control laws/regulations. Qualifications: + Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state. + Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential (or willingness to obtain, if applicable). + Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. + Minimum two years of experience as a school nurse preferred. + Valid CPR certification. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Proficiency in English. + Must meet all federal, state, local, and contract requirements. + Technological proficiency, including mobile devices for documentation. + Must be at least 18 years of age.
