JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the repair and upkeep of the property including but not limited to barns, grand stand, office buildings, and grounds. Under the direct supervision of a higher level operations or maintenance employee, the skilled laborer performs a variety of tasks in the maintenance, repair and/or operation of various installations and facilities. The skilled laborer is also certified/licensed in a related field.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates a variety of small stationary equipment such as air compressors, portable generators, concrete mixers, pumps, etc.
Operates a variety of Heavy Equipment such as water trucks, kubotas, skid loaders, etc.
Operates, maintains, and makes minor repairs to a wide variety of small equipment such as tractors, mowers, power saws, etc.
Operates automotive equipment, such as pick-up trucks, small vans, or cars, to transport employees/equipment to/from work sites
Assists skilled mechanics in mechanical work on machinery and building trade operations;
Builds forms or structures using bricks, concrete and stone, and the repair of same
Performs minor electrical, carpentry, plumbing and painting work
Repairs or replaces defective equipment using hand and power tools
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be 21 years or older. Must have a Valid Driver's License and able to obtain a Louisiana Racing License.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
At least two years of relevant experience required; High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Good knowledge of the techniques and terminology used in the operation of mechanical equipment; ability to operate a variety of mechanical equipment; ability to follow oral or written instructions; ability to work alone or with others; ability to learn new work quickly; mechanical ability; manual dexterity; physical condition commensurate with the duties of the position. Ability to read and write. Ability to interpret and/or communicate written or verbal instruction. Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Effective verbal, listening and communications skills.

THE JOB
US Concerts is seeking an Operations Team Member to keep our venues show-ready and create an incredible fan experience. This position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties, handling the operations and logistics in preparing the venue for concerts and special events to support the achievement of the venue's business goals and objectives.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Work directly with the Ops Manager and Operations Supervisor to perform pre-show and day of show duties
Ensure the venue is properly set up for concerts and special events
Tear down and clear venue after concerts and special events
Perform general maintenance on the property
Respond to guest inquiries and or concerns
Inform guests of venue amenities & make recommendations
Perform opening/running/closing duties according to Live Nation policy
Communicate to supervisor any issues that guests or team members may have
Work with supervisor to resolve guest issues- consults or involves management if the situation escalates
Assist all departments when needed

Essential Functions
Perform preventative maintenance, general maintenance, inspections, and installations/repairs to building, grounds, and building equipment, so businesses continues to run smoothly and that the physical condition does not deteriorate. This includes painting buildings and equipment.
Notify the Manager concerning the need for major repairs.

Follow manufacturer procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
High degrees of self-motivation and the ability to work independently and as a team within the scope of established rules and regulations.
Working knowledge of tools and equipment used in maintenance and construction
Ability to apply basic knowledge in multiple areas of carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems, building maintenance, groundskeeping, and equipment repair
Ability to watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

Overview

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs routine assembly, maintenance, and repairs of valves, pumps, compressors, seals, piping, and related fittings using appropriate fasteners and methods (e.g., bolts, screws, rivets, welding, and brazing). Replaces lavatory fixtures and clears/maintains drains.
2. Uses the Museum's CMMS to receive/complete work orders, document labor and materials, attach photos/notes, and track asset histories and parts. Executes preventive maintenance (PM) and tasks on building systems and utility equipment including changing filters, belts, and fluids; cleans coils and strainers.
3. Assists with inspections, basic diagnostics, and routine maintenance of building systems including cooling towers, boilers, chillers, air handlers (AHUs), pumps, and hydraulic systems.
4. Monitors interior environmental conditions and makes basic adjustments to building controls for optimized performance.
5. Assists with electrical support under the direction of the Electrical Supervisor including minor wiring, lamp and ballast replacement, and low‑voltage/power wire pulls and terminations.
6. Supports departmental colleagues with event setup and takedown, snow/ice removal, seasonal tasks, and general facilities duties (e.g., ceiling tile replacement, small patch/paint, door hardware adjustments, equipment moves).
7. Maintains shop tools and ensures safe work environments and practices. Engages in regular safety, compliance and customer service tasks. Follows lockout/tagout, confined space, hot work, PPE, and other safety procedures; maintains compliant work areas and documentation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work in noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions
Move about facility and stand for long periods of time (over 2/3 of the time)
This position is very active and requires standing, kneeling, bending, walking, reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling
Must be comfortable climbing on a ladder
Requires lift, push, pull, or carry up to 300 lbs (70+ pounds with the assistance of a dolly)
Ability to wear personal protective gear
While performing the duties of this job, the MaintenanceTechnician is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, and use hands and fingers to operate various tools (i.e. drills, ladders, chemicals, etc.).

The Crawfordsville Distribution Center for Penguin Random House is currently seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our growing organization.
In this role, you will perform a combination of duties to construct, install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and maintain plant equipment and facilities. Prior experience working in facility maintenance is essential.
Proven skills relating to electrical construction with the ability to read schematics, mechanical trades, forklift/conveyor repair experience is a plus. Prior experience performing duties associated with Siemens or Allen Bradley Programmable Controllers or other relative PLC's is desirable but not required. Additional experience with other crafts such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry and welding will contribute to a well-rounded candidate.
Candidates must have two or more years relevant experience, possess basic PC skills and be physically capable of performing heavy lifting. The availability to work overtime is essential.
The shift hours for this opportunity are Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:00pm. This shift also pays an additional 12.5% shift differential to boost your earnings.
