We are looking to add an OTR (Off-The-Road) Tire Road Service Technician to our team. The employee will be responsible for all aspects of tire and related service and repair for off-the-road equipment (construction, earthmoving, mining, farm, etc.) as well as other duties as assigned by the manager. Key Responsibilities: Must have a valid driver's license for the type of vehicle required for the position and be able to meet commercial driver qualification requirements. Operation of a 55,000-pound OTR Service Boom Truck. Follow established procedures to inspect tires and wheels before and after service. Determine repairable tire conditions and make such repairs. Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors. Document work performed accurately and according to company policy. Operation of heavy-duty tire service equipment and tools including boom cranes, cribbing, jacks, compressors, and electric and hydraulic equipment. Unbolt and re-bolt wheels from/to equipment, using lug wrenches and other hand and power tools. Mount and dismount any type of off-the-road tire including but not limited to multi-piece rims. Match mating of dual assemblies. Identify and inflate tires correctly for the size, ply, and load requirement. Replace valve stems and remove puncturing objects. Perform service calls on nights and/or weekends on a rotating basis. Proper maintenance of assigned service vehicles including an appearance as well as onboard service equipment and tools. Compliance with OSHA and MSHA regulations and safety requirements pertaining to this position. Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities: Respond to roadside and on-site service calls using a fully equipped service truck. Mount, dismount, balance, and repair all types of tires, including passenger, light truck, commercial truck, and industrial. Diagnose and repair tire-related issues and perform light mechanical repairs as needed. Inspect tires and wheels for wear, damage, and proper inflation. Perform fleet inspections and preventative maintenance checks when required. Operate tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) and other diagnostic tools. Maintain the service truck, tools, and equipment in safe operating condition. Follow DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws at all times. Provide exceptional customer service, including clear communication of service details and timelines. Assist with warehouse or shop duties when not on service calls. Skills / Education / Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (CDL preferred but not required).
