Key Responsibilities Develop CNC and laser programs from engineering drawings, CAD files, and product specifications. Translate 2D/3D CAD drawings into optimized machine-readable formats (nesting, toolpath). Create and maintain program libraries, ensuring version control and accuracy. Optimize material utilization and reduce scrap through effective nesting strategies. Partner with Engineering to improve manufacturability and standardize programming practices. Collaborate with operators to troubleshoot issues, but remain engineering-focused (not machine operation). Support introduction of new products and processes, ensuring smooth transition from design to production. Maintain documentation of programming standards, CAD files, and procedures. Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimization within fabrication operations. Assist in equipment specification and evaluation during capital projects (when programming input is required). Qualifications 3+ years of CNC/laser programming experience in a fabrication or sheet metal environment. Proficiency with SigmaNest and AutoCAD required; familiarity with other CAM systems (e.g. CAMPlus, CAMProX, SheetCam) a plus. Strong understanding of fabrication processes (cutting, bending, assembly). Experience with nesting, toolpath optimization, and CAD file preparation. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and version control discipline. Strong communication and collaboration skills across Engineering, Production, and Quality. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and process improvement methods preferred. Exposure to PLC programming and robotics a plus but not required.

Primary Responsibilities Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine part dimensions and tolerances. Program, set-up and operate HAAS CNC Machine and Hybrid CNC Mill. Set up and operate lathes, mills, and other conventional and manual machinery. Machine and grind components to precise specifications. Select or design, fab and install appropriate fixtures, cutting tools, and accessories. Calculate proper speeds and feeds based on material type and tooling. Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gages) to verify part accuracy. Use computers to locate files, print drawings, and inspect 3D models using tools like eDrawings. CAD/CAM 5 year minimum (Master CAM or Rhino CAM a plus). Perform work assignments from the Working Foreman and collaborate with the team as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Lift and move objects weighing: Up to 50 lbs occasionally. Up to 25 lbs frequently. Up to 10 lbs constantly. Use hands and fingers to handle or feel materials and tools. Ability to bend, push, pull, and reach overhead. Work Environment High noise levels from operating machinery. Exposure to physical hazards such as moving machine parts.
