Position Description:
Laborers have general responsibility to provide support and assistance to the other skilled crafts working on the project. Laborers employed by Hensel Phelps provide support for the form carpenters and for the concrete operation in general, ironworkers/rodbusters involved in installing reinforcing steel, and masons involved in the installation of block and brickwork. This is a safety sensitive position.
Essential Duties:
Preparation of areas for the placement of concrete involves final excavation of dirt and rock and fine grading for floor slabs. This work involves shoveling for extended periods of time.
Assembly of concrete forms, laborers are required to lift form prefabricated metal form panels and assist in their placement.
Handle the concrete bucket suspended from a crane that transfers the concrete from the concrete truck to the placement area. After the concrete is poured from the bucket, laborers muck the concrete in slabs to spread it evenly.
After the concrete has cured, the laborers assist in stripping the concrete forms and transporting them for storage.
Assist concrete finishers in moving power trowels and power screeds used to finish the concrete surface.
Support of block masons installing masonry work by handling and transporting bags of cement, lime, sand, and grout. This includes stocking blocks and bricks.
Assist carpenters in handling and setting door frames. This entails transporting the door frames from the storage area to the work areas and stacking the door frames where needed.
Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools. Distribute site materials to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications. Responsible for ensuring that all materials are properly distributed, and the site is swept and well maintained.
Promote a safe work environment and communicate jobsite hazards. This includes helping to secure the jobsite at the end of business each day and verifying that all site materials are properly stored.

Job Description
The General Laborer will be responsible for the following:
Driving a box truck. (chauffeur's license)
Facilities maintenance work including, but not limited to:
Housekeeping
Polishing
Emptying pans and bins
Grounds keeping
Assisting other departments and teams as needed (Other departments include Polishing, Quality, Mill and Lathe Operating/Programming)

Role summary:
The General Laborer performs laboratory support responsibilities in a fast-paced production environment, preparation of microbiological samples & media, cleaning, waste disposal, and basic maintenance functions.
What you'll do:
* Sterilize and dispose biohazardous waste according to established procedures.
* Prepare media and reagents to support microbiology testing, ensuring products are documented, aliquoted, labelled and quality control specifications are met.
* Perform and document routine laboratory maintenance tasks such as sample archiving, basic equipment monitoring, waste disposal and cleaning (laboratory and labware).
* Assist Lab Techs in sample preparation and weighing of test items, as required.
* Adhere to lab safety procedures and reporting standards.
* Follow written Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
* As needed, perform shipping/receiving duties and keep external/customer facing areas clear.
* Other duties may be assigned to assist with the operations of the lab.
* The candidate for this role will be able to work flexible hours and willing to work overtime.

Responsibilities
Loading and unloading: Manually load and unload materials, supplies, and tools from trucks, and trailer.
Material handling: Move materials to and from storage areas, work areas, and shipping bays using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
Site preparation and cleanup: Clean and prepare worksites by removing debris, trash, and potential hazards. Ensure the work area is clean and organized at the end of each shift.
Equipment operation: Operate and tend to various hand and power tools, production equipment, or basic machinery as directed by a supervisor.
Production support: Assist with production processes, including assembly, sorting, picking, and building products according to specifications.
Inventory management: Count, sort, and label inventory. Report damaged or missing materials to a supervisor.

Qualifications
