Position Levels

Modified Aircraft Structures Mechanic I (Level 1)
is distinguished from the Modified Aircraft Structures Mechanic II (Level 2) by the performance of the more routine tasks and duties assigned within the series. Employees at this level may have only limited experience and receive regular instruction or assistance in the performance of their assigned duties. One to three years' experience is desirable. Modified Aircraft Structures Mechanic III (Level 3)
is distinguished from the Modified Aircraft Structures Mechanic II (Level 2) by the level of responsibility assumed and the complexity of duties assigned. Employees perform the most difficult and responsible types of duties including assuming project management responsibilities when assigned. Employees at this level are required to be fully trained and aware of all applicable Procedures and SOP's. Additionally, they mentor others and foster technical growth. The employee at this level must hold an Airframe and/or Powerplant license. Ten or more years of increasingly responsible experience is required.
Duties & Responsibilities
Performs Sheet Metal Structural, Fabrication, Modification, and Repair work.
Works with close tolerance dimensions, and pneumatic tools.
Performs disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, fabrication, manufacturing, maintenance, and assembly of aircraft and aircraft parts, components and wiring documenting work per company, customer and regulatory requirements.
Installs aircraft parts and components to aircraft at the fixed base of operations (FBO) and in the field environment.
Reads, interprets, and complies with Repair Station Quality Manual, Production Certificate Quality Manual, Standard Operation Procedures, Federal Aviation Regulations, Technical Manuals, Drawings, and Specifications.

Possess or willing to purchase set of sheet metal tools.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, perform drilling/riveting and fabrication duties; as well as being able to develop sheet metal repairs using Structural Repair Manuals, Technical Manuals and Engineering Dispositions. Preferred for Level I, required for Level II and III.
Knowledge of FAA and aviation industry requirements and regulations to perform manufacturing fabrication and assembly of aircraft parts and components.
High School Diploma or equivalency, Valid Driver's license
Ability to use tools, equipment, manuals, drawings and specifications to perform aircraft maintenance, repair and fabrication.
Level 1: 1-3 years - In aircraft maintenance, repair and/or fabrication.

Responsibilities
Successful candidate will be responsible for following safe work practices, plant policies and procedures, machine troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, fabricating and modifying equipment, repairing or replacing; power transmission, hydraulic/pneumatic components, and conveyor system components.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Must have an excellent work and safety record.
Must be able to work at heights, and in hot/dusty environments.
Must be able to work various shifts including days, swing and/or graveyard with required daily or weekly overtime as needed.
Must be able to comprehend and enter detailed work orders into our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Must have experience in Field Prep which consists of shop math, basic measuring tools, hand tools, torqueing, fasteners, and print reading.
Must have experience in Assembly & Installation which consists of part assembly, pre-alignment, alignment, belts, chains, fits, and tolerances.
Must have experience identifying and controlling failed components such as hydraulic and pneumatic components, pumps, and bearings.
Must have experience in Fluid Power Operation and Troubleshooting.
Must have knowledge of Pumping Systems which includes process pumps, piping, packing/sealing systems.
Must have experience in Rigging and Welding.
Must be 18 or older to apply.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Journeyman level Millwright
• Maintenance reliability knowledge
• Computer experience (Microsoft products)
• Familiar with wood products machinery and equipment.
