General Description Performs advanced (senior-level) motor vehicle maintenance and equipment repair work. Work involves estimating repairs, requisitioning parts and supplies maintaining records of work performed, and overseeing the operation of a motor vehicle and equipment repair shop. May assign and/or supervise the work of others; Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Examples of Work Performed Coordinates or performs various phases of motor vehicle repair such as paint, body, and mechanical repairs. The CBP Aircraft Mechanic performs maintenance, overhaul, repair, inspection, and aircraft servicing functions on assigned aircraft within an aircraft maintenance and operations environment and in accordance with applicable instructions. Principal Accountabilities: Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft in accordance with 14 CFR and Department of Defense (DoD) regulations, technical manuals, and other data as applicable. Experience utilizing machines/equipment as follows: hand tools, drills, grinders, saws, multimeter, tachometer, welder, cutting torch, hydraulic gear puller, electric forklifts, pallet jacks, and platform lifts. *Special Consideration for applicants who posses CDL Licenses. Responsibilities - Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on mechanical material handling equipment. Perform emergency mechanical repairs to failed material handling systems. Identify and locate required repair parts for failed systems. Maintain accurate record keeping such as: work orders, time sheets, and parts requests Benefit Packages available after 3 months.
