What You'll Do:
Draft mechanical drawings in AutoCAD and Revit

Develop bidding, construction, and record documents
Confer with the lead engineer and project manager to incorporate design information and client standards into the construction documents
Create and maintain 3-dimensional models and integrate models from a variety of design platforms

Customize CAD software to generate innovative solutions and meet client requirements

With big ambitions, we specialize in the development, construction and operation of RNG, landfill-gas-to-electric and dairy digester facilities.
The team operates around 50 sites in 32 states with a robust development pipeline.
About the role The Principal Facilities Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering support to operating the Assai Renewal Natural Gas (RNG) plant located in Throop, PA.
A key asset for Archaea Energy, this facility converts landfill gas, collected at the landfill, into pipeline quality natural gas (High Btu or Renewable Natural Gas).
The facility processes the landfill gas by removing the majority of the non-methane components including CO2, Nitrogen, water, sulfur and volatile and non-volatile organic compounds to attain pipeline quality gas.
The support will range from plant optimization to small upgrade projects.
This role will work closely with Operations and Maintenance personnel at the plant in support of achieving plant runtime and production KPI's.
They will also work closely with in-house Engineering teams and 3rd party Engineering Contractors to develop workpack deliverables for plant modifications.
A key accountability will be maintaining and updating Process Safety Information for the plant.
The successful candidate must be able to report to the plant in Throop, PA at least 3 days per week.
You must live near the site or be willing to relocate to report into the site to be considered for the role.

You will provide technical expertise to support the Operations and Maintenance teams in terms of repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.

What You'll Do

What You Bring

You will play a vital role in ensuring the sustainability and improvement of water and wastewater systems across Pennsylvania.
This position requires frequent travel throughout the state, including extended overnight stays for site visits, meetings with local officials, and project coordination. You will be managing multiple projects simultaneously and must be comfortable with both office-based and field-based work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* System Planning & Improvement: Prepare studies and reports to guide company management in planning for future system needs and improvements for both water and wastewater systems.
* Capital Improvement Plans: Assist in the development and implementation of annual capital improvement plans for water and wastewater infrastructure, including identifying and prioritizing projects and estimating associated costs.
* Project Management: Manage a range of capital projects across both water and wastewater sectors, including water main replacements, sewer rehabilitation, wastewater treatment plants, water storage tanks, booster stations, sanitary lift stations, valve vaults, and more. This involves both internal teams and external consultants, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
* Permitting & Regulatory Compliance: Prepare and manage permit applications for projects, securing necessary approvals at the local, state, and federal levels. This involves working with local officials, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
* Bid Process & Contract Management: Prepare bid documents, conduct the bidding process, and oversee contract requirements throughout the duration of the project.
* Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with department heads, design drafters, consultants, construction coordinators and contractors to ensure projects are designed and implemented according to company standards and regulatory guidelines.
* Financial Management: Track project budgets, progress, and timelines using Aqua Pennsylvania's financial systems, ensuring that projects stay within budget and are properly authorized.
