    Laboratory Supervisor Reports to: Sr. Director, Lab Operations and Systems Implementation Company Background: CNSide Diagnostics, LLC, a subsidiary of Plus Therapeutics, Inc., develops and commercializes proprietary clinical diagnostic laboratory tests, such as CNSide, designed to identify tumor cells that have metastasized to the central nervous system in patients with carcinomas and melanomas. The CNSide Cerebrospinal Fluid Assay Platform enables quantitative analysis and molecular characterization of tumor cells and circulating tumor DNA in cerebrospinal fluid, informing and improving the clinical management of patients. The Company is in the early stages of commercializing CNSide in the U.S. Role: This position is responsible for working with the Laboratory and Medical Directors to ensure the quality of laboratory testing in accordance with established policies and procedures and CAP/COLA/CLIA standards. This position works closely with the Director of Operations to advance strategic business initiatives. Responsibilities: Provide leadership and oversight of the technical, operational, and managerial leadership for the high complexity CLIA laboratory. Laboratory Supervisor for assigned testing areas, ensuring appropriate test performance, result accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards. Supervise laboratory staff and manage day-to-day laboratory operations to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely testing. Lead hiring, onboarding, training, competency assessment, and performance management of laboratory personnel. Oversee laboratory equipment and instrumentation, including maintenance schedules, service contracts, calibration, and troubleshooting. Lead and oversee quality control and quality assurance activities, including review of QC data, investigation of deviations, implementation of corrective and preventive actions, and documentation in accordance with laboratory policies. Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and internal quality system requirements, and support inspection readiness and audit responses. Continuously optimize laboratory layout, workflows, assays, and processes to improve quality, efficiency, and operational performance. Lead laboratory safety activities, including safety audits, incident review, and corrective actions. Able to serve as the designated Laboratory Safety Officer. Ensure adequate cross-training of staff to maintain consistent operational coverage. Manage laboratory inventory, supplies, and vendor coordination to support uninterrupted testing operations. Collaborate with laboratory leadership, quality, and operations teams to support inspections, audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science, biology, chemistry, or a related life science field meeting CLIA requirements. Master's degree or doctoral degree in a relevant scientific discipline preferred but not required. Minimum of two years of laboratory management or supervisory experience in a clinical or regulated laboratory environment. Experience in a high complexity CLIA laboratory preferred. Proficiency with laboratory information systems and standard office software, including Microsoft Excel. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, remain detail-oriented, and lead in a dynamic environment. Requirements: Strong understanding of clinical laboratory operations and high complexity testing environments. Broad experience with laboratory instrumentation, workflows, and regulated testing processes. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and resolve operational and technical issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex data and operational challenges. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced laboratory environment. Knowledge of good laboratory practices, documentation standards, and quality systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage staff and cross-functional interactions.
