Your Role as a Dietary Services Aide
We are looking for a dedicated Dietary Services Aide to join our team and assist in preparing and serving food to residents, family members, visitors, and staff in a skilled nursing setting. This role ensures accurate meal service according to specific diets and helps maintain a clean and safe working environment.
What You'll Do:
Assist in food preparation for residents, visitors, and staff, including special activities.
Attend and serve food during in-service or staff meetings as requested.
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment while maintaining sanitary conditions.
Set and clear tables before and after meals.
Maintain a safe and clean work area, following health and safety regulations.

Physical Demands:
Standing, sitting, walking, and changing positions frequently.

Your Role as a Dietary Services Aide
We are looking for a dedicated Dietary Services Aide to join our team and assist in preparing and serving food to residents, family members, visitors, and staff in a skilled nursing setting. This role ensures accurate meal service according to specific diets and helps maintain a clean and safe working environment.
What You'll Do:
Assist in food preparation for residents, visitors, and staff, including special activities.
Attend and serve food during in-service or staff meetings as requested.
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment while maintaining sanitary conditions.
Set and clear tables before and after meals.
Maintain a safe and clean work area, following health and safety regulations.
Adhere to the Americare Mission/Vision, Home Town Hospitality, and F.A.M.I.L.Y. values.
Physical Demands:
Standing, sitting, walking, and changing positions frequently.
Lifting or carrying up to 25 lbs.; pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs.
Ability to reach, balance, kneel, stoop, and bend.
Safety Requirements:
Follow safety policies, including the use of carts for moving items.
Wear skid-resistant, supportive shoes to prevent slips and falls.
Utilize protective hand equipment when handling knives, sharp objects, and hot surfaces.
Use PPE such as gloves, hairnets, and beard guards when handling food.
Report all work-related injuries within 12 hours and participate in required documentation.
Participation in company drug testing procedures.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional kitchen setting, utilizing stoves, dishwashers, refrigerators, coolers, and other equipment. The environment includes indoor settings with adequate lighting and ventilation.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years old.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and co-workers.
Adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and state and federal regulations.
Ability to follow supervisor's instructions in a safe and efficient manner.

The Nutrition Aide helps prepare and serve healthy food; assists with cleaning and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas; delivers food to patients; and assists in maintaining kitchen supplies and stock.
JOB DUTIES:
Assist with meal preparation
Serve food cafeteria customs and plate/tray food for patients
Inspect special diet trays to ensure compliance with dietary restrictions
Assist cook(s) in determining kitchen supplies and stock for the day, as well as checking and maintaining stock levels
Store excess food and ingredients at correct temperature and manner for health and to avoid spoilage
Clean and sterilize food preparations areas; Ensure cooking utensils are clean before each use
Ensure that food health and safety regulations are followed
Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy
The Nutrition Aide assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions
Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills in teaming with patients, medical staff and the public
