About the Role
We're looking for a calm, dependable, and compassionate Grave Shift Mentor to join our residential treatment team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and stability of our clients during overnight hours. The ideal candidate is patient, observant, comfortable maintaining boundaries, and able to respond effectively in both quiet and crisis situations.

Key Responsibilities
Provide supervision and support to clients, ensuring their safety during sleeping hours and while awake as needed.
Maintain a solid understanding of our therapeutic level system, rules, terminology, and group dynamics to ensure consistency.
Use behavioral management and de-escalation techniques appropriately; participate in crisis intervention and therapeutic holds if necessary (training provided).
Document client behavior, observations, and overnight activity in daily shift notes for clinical staff review.
Communicate clearly and professionally with both staff and clients.
Complete overnight operational tasks including:
Searching in and documenting clients' belongings
Updating census documents
Printing and restocking therapeutic materials
Completing in-house laundry
Taking out trash in the workspace
Assist with new admissions and pass returns, including processing valuables and conducting searches.
Answer the company phone and front door in a professional, HIPAA-compliant manner.
Accurately manage timekeeping through BambooHR.
Perform other duties as needed to support the program and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.

20+ years of age
High School diploma or equivalent
Able to pass criminal investigation background check
Able to pass motor vehicle record check (if applicable)
Current Utah driver's license (within 30 days of employment)
1st Aid & CPR certified (we may provide)

Benefits
$200 signing bonus
Pay progression plan, starting at $15.00/hr
Performance Bonuses*
$600 bonus at 6 month $800 bonus at 12 months $1000 bonus at 18 months $1000 bonus every 6 months after 18 months
*performance bonuses are based on hours worked and were spaced out based on full time hours.
If working part-time, it can take longer to to reach the bonuses. For example, 6 months full time is equivalent to 720 hours. Once a Youth Mentor works 720 hours, they are eligible for the "6 month bonus."
