Trained Medication Aide (TMA) responsibilities:
Prepare and administer medications in accordance with Elim Wellspring policies.
Review and follow a written care plan.
Measure and record vital signs including pulse, temperature, and blood pressure on new computerized software.
Assist with various resident cares such as answering light calls, feeding and helping residents to the bathroom.
Observe resident behavior and report any changes in condition or behavior to supervisor.
Perform other duties as requested.
Trained Medication Aide (TMA) skills and requirements:
Must hold current, valid CNA and TMA certification in the state of Minnesota.
Must have 1,000 hours as a nursing assistant.
Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff.

Program Overview
The intent of this program is to provide growth opportunities at Alomere Health for employees to take their career to the next level as a LPN at Alomere Health.
Alomere Health will pay 100% of all expenses directly associated with tuition/books/scrubs/etc. This will result in a college diploma.
Employees will remain employed throughout their schooling. Department leadership will work with the employee to balance the work schedule with the school schedule.
The employee's current benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.) will remain in place even though employee's may be working less than their hired status (FTE).
Benefit time off will continue to accrue based on hours paid.
If the employee completes the LPN program, but does not pass the LicensedPracticalNurse Certification, maintain passing grades (C or above), meet minimum program requirements or remain employed at least 0.5 FTE for three (3) years post-graduation, the employee will be responsible to pay back 100% of the employer paid program costs to Alomere Health.

Position Objective
The LPN supports the Provider in provision of individualized patient care, direct and indirect in an outpatient clinical setting. LPNs participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, based on objectives, standards, and policies of nursing. They have the ability to handle a diverse range of situations and responsibilities, which is their primary duty. LPNs are responsible for rendering nursing care in an assigned area in terms of individualized patient needs, according to conformance with recognized nursing techniques, procedures, and established standards based on the scope of practice, under the direction/delegation of a Registered Nurse or Provider. The LPN Hyperbaric Technician is responsible for ensuring compliance in the program's safety on behalf of the patients and organization; therefore, shall exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to the health and safety policy and procedures of the program. The hyperbaric technician will work closely with the physician/provider in the coordination of patient care and make recommendations in procedures for the operations and maintenance of the hyperbaric program. The hyperbaric technician will resume responsibility for patients while patients are undergoing hyperbaric oxygen therapy and all components of patient care in regards to hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Essential Responsibilities
Nursing Service Delivery
Meet, maintain, and follow Meaningful Use, PQRS, MN community Measures requirements, and other quality initiatives
Adequate knowledge of Provider practice type
Ensure efficient and accurate patient care coordination
Perform all tasks per Provider order within scope of practice or specialty training
Work in accordance of primary Providers' clinic schedule
Possess prior authorization of medications
Alexandria Clinic Specific
Prepare and administer injections, immunizations, and medications
Administer treatments/dressing applications as prescribed by Provider
Submit appropriate charges for services rendered
Collect and handle all specimens appropriately
Patient Care
Facilitate communication in regards to patient care between patient and Provider and work to be a patient advocate at all times
Complete thorough documentation of all patient interactions in the electronic medical record
Improve the patient experience and improve patient flow within Alomere Health
Effectively communicate with patients, families, and those involved in the patients' care
Assist in emergent situations, using knowledge and skill of crash cart and defibrillator resources
Respond to patient and visitor requests, complaints, and recommendations
Wound Care Center and Hyperbaric Technician Specific
Ensures departmental compliance with the requirements of JCAHO, NFPA 99, PVHO I, UHMS, NBDHMT, and all other applicable center safety policies
Evaluates chamber equipment / supplies used in the chamber
Maintains a safe environment in the Wound Care Center for patients and staff, and ensures the adequate and safe decompression of all personnel with a hyperbaric exposure
Participates in chamber drills, which are tailored towards improving staff response to emergency operations
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a PracticalNursing program
Current MN LicensedPracticalNurse (LPN)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
One year minimum of clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications
Epic EMR experience
Certification as a Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) *If not certified, certification will be required upon hire
