CDR Health Care Inc. is seeking CertifiedNursingAssistants (CNAs) based in the Northern Florida area who are willing to travel to Sanderson, FL, to provide healthcare services at a detention facility. This role will provide essential support to patients by assisting with daily living activities and helping licensed medical staff during clinical procedures. The position involves monitoring patient conditions, maintaining a safe and clean environment, facilitating patient mobility, and ensuring effective communication within the healthcare team to promote high-quality, compassionate care.
Essential Functions:
Monitor and document vital signs, behavioral changes, and physical condition; promptly report concerns to nursing or medical staff.
Assist with in-clinic patient transport, including moving individuals between exam rooms, infirmary beds, and procedure areas.
Reposition patients in medical beds to prevent pressure injuries and promote comfort.
Support patients under medical observation by providing supervised mobility assistance as part of recovery or treatment plans.
Maintain infection control standards by routinely cleaning medical equipment and adhering to PPE and sanitation protocols.
Assist licensed nursing staff during intake exams, sick call visits, and minor procedures by retrieving supplies and helping with patient positioning.
Other duties that may arise from time-to-time and/or are commensurate with the title and position.
Requirements
Preferred minimum of 3 years of experience as a CertifiedNursingAssistant.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid CNA certification in good standing.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences in various settings
Strong multitasking abilities, capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills to support a cohesive clinical environment.
Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Thorough understanding of patient care policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Flexible availability including late afternoons, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed to respond to emergencies or critical incidents
Willingness to relocate or travel up to 100% as required

Shifts Available: Day Shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) or Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Facility Hours: Open 7 days a week (Monday through Sunday)

Emptying, measuring and recording foley, ileostomy/colostomy and/or gastric drainage bags and making ostomy pouch/dressing changes (established); emptying or changing oral suction containers; also recording, calculating and totaling intake and output records.
Preparing and administering perineal (catheter) care, ice bags/collars and non-medicated enemas as assigned.
Performing emergency procedures including calling a Code Blue, gathering equipment, performing CPR and using AED.
Implementing isolation precautions including standard precautions, respiratory or strict isolation.
Obtaining specimens as directed including urine, stool, hemoccult, gastroccult, sputum and nasal cultures (including MRSA).
Assisting with post mortem care as directed by RN.
Supports the patient care unit by:
Observing, reporting and following up on patient complaints, unusual behavior, abnormal condition changes, incidents, concerns, questions or complaints expressed by patient, family or visitors.
Transporting patients and delivering and returning equipment or supplies.

Preparing patient for examination by performing preliminary physical test; taking blood pressure, weight, urinalysis, injections and lab draws.
Assisting physician and/or nurse with minor emergency or surgical procedures.
Performing routine laboratory and EKG tests as ordered.
Administering and recording medication and injections as ordered.
Interpreting physician's instructions to patients and providing instruction to patients.
Checking and maintaining supply of stock to exam rooms.
Cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
Scheduling office or hospital procedures.
Preparing procedure orders and accompanying data to be sent to the hospital for inpatient/outpatient studies.
Triaging patient calls to determine urgency and direct patient care.
Entering patient information, injections, and results into the electronic medical record.
Complete drug and alcohol testing according to the guidelines; certification for federal testing.
