Mental Health Assessment Specialist I Full Tim- 36 hrs/week Hours: 2pm-12:30am Required Travel: A Brief Overview: As a Mental Health Assessment Specialist I, you will serve as an integral member of our Behavioral Health Services team, conducting assessments and evaluations of patients' mental health conditions. You will work closely with clinicians, patients, and families to provide critical insights and recommendations for treatment and care. What you will do: Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients' mental health status using standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews. Collect and analyze relevant patient information, including medical history, social factors, and environmental factors. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to formulate accurate diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations. Establish rapport with patients and their families to create a supportive and therapeutic environment. Communicate assessment findings and treatment recommendations effectively and empathetically. Provide crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing acute mental health crises. Maintain detailed and accurate records of assessments, evaluations, and patient interactions in compliance with hospital policies and legal regulations. Prepare concise and comprehensive assessment reports for clinicians and treatment teams. Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Provide consultation and guidance to staff on mental health-related issues and best practices.
