You will be part of an experienced and diverse team foundational to achieving MISO's core vision of being the most reliable, value-creating RTO and play a crucial role in setting the direction for the future of the Market Model building process.
As a Power Systems Engineer II (Model Engineering), you will also have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects at MISO to implement a Model Management System, upgrade our Energy Management System, improve the Day-Ahead and Real-Time Market System, and incorporate Distributed Energy Resources into the MISO planning, operations, and market systems.
Lastly, as a Power Systems Engineer II (Model Engineering), you will be able to apply your technical skills, interpersonal skills, and knowledge of power systems to satisfy our many customers, both internal and external to MISO.

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $91,000-$116,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. What You'll Do:
Work in close partnership with managed service providers to coordinate and accelerate IT initiatives. Ensure seamless collaboration and leverage external expertise while leading and managing internal change efforts at FMSC.
Administer and improve Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, including management of productivity application best-practices, access controls, third-party SaaS integration, license optimization, and security settings.
Manage endpoint devices using Intune (Windows) and JAMF (iOS), including provisioning, updates, compliance, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with departments to onboard, consolidate, and optimize third-party SaaS platforms. Apply platform management best practices to ensure secure, efficient, and scalable adoption.
Serve as escalation point for complex technical support issues, document solutions, and mentor Tier 1-2 IT Support team.
Provide tier 1-2 network support, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and work with networking managed service providers.
Monitor and triage security alerts, respond to incidents, and enforce IT policies in collaboration with managed security providers.
Support ERP (Epicor Kinetic) and other business applications, including user access, troubleshooting, and integrations.
Actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and participate in IT projects.

Your Qualifications:
Commitment to support, promote, and authentically communicate FMSC's Christian mission and goals.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. In lieu of degree, equivalent work experience considered.
5-8 years of hands-on experience in IT systems administration, managing on-premises and cloud environments.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with managed service providers and contractors.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), endpoint management tools (Intune, JAMF), and Azure infrastructure.
Experience with Windows Server administration, virtualization, and basic networking (Fortinet and Ubiquiti).
Experience implementing security measures, responding to incidents, and following best practices.
Experience supporting manufacturing ERP and business applications (Epicor Kinetic preferred).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills.

-Install, configure, program, test, and troubleshoot GPU boards, digital I/O and DAQ cards, embedded controllers, and directed energy sensing equipment (X-ray, laser scanners, etc.)
-Reduce system failures and downtime by creating effective incident response protocols
-Place a sharp focus on performance and stability for all embedded systems
-Provide technical leadership/mentoring to the growing team of support staff working to improve system uptime
Qualifications
What you need to succeed:
-10+ years of embedded software engineering experience working with Python, C++, and LabVIEW
-Extensive hands-on experience with computer hardware and system configurations (multi-GPU, RAM, motherboards, etc.)
-Recent experience with Linux system installation and administration
-Proven ability to test hardware equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer)
