Job Description
Midland University, a private, faith-based, liberal arts university in Fremont, Nebraska (just outside of metro Omaha), is seeking a Strength and Conditioning GraduateAssistant. The coaching position will be offered within our graduateassistant structure, requiring admission to the University's Master of Education, Master of Science Learning and Talent Development, Master of Science and Sports Administration and Leadership, or Master of Business Administration programs. In addition to the academic responsibilities, the candidate will contribute to various aspects of the Strength and Conditioning program, including assisting off-season and in-season training programs and other duties assigned by the head strength and conditioning coach. The person who holds this position will receive tuition remission from the University and potentially receive a campus meal plan and monthly stipend depending on degree pursued.
Job responsibilities include:
Retaining students through the strength and conditioning program
Conducting proper instruction of activities during training, practice and competition
Creating and implementing year round sport performance programs
Coordinating conditioning, practice and competition schedules
Ensuring team compliance with all appropriate NAIA, NSCA, CSCS and institutional rules and regulations
Continuously ensuring personal behavior and program reputation are in alignment with Midland University's mission and core values
Other duties as assigned
Need to have:
Minimum of one year strength and conditioning experience
Availability to work flexible schedule including some nights and weekends
Knowledge of relevant NAIA rules and regulations
Certification through CSCS or NSCA
Bachelor's Degree
Strong preference for those with:
FMS Certification
USAW Certification
Required skills and traits:
A positive attitude
Strong relationship building skills
A self-starter
Ability to resolve issues independently
Ability to teach proper technique and form
Compensation:

Responsible to the Director of Athletics and Head Coach assisting in the overall management and leadership of the intercollegiate program. This program will support the philosophy, mission, and standards of Hastings College, the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), and the NAIA.GraduateAssistant positions include a tuition credits, a $5,000 yearly stipend, 80 meal swipes per semester, and on-campus housing free of charge for the individual. We are reviewing for an August 2026 start.
Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and maintaining a highly competitive intercollegiate volleyball program within rules and regulations of the institution, the GPAC and NAIA.
Cultivate and track long-term athletic development of volleyball athletes.
Complete daily operational tasks specified with your position on the volleyball coaching staff, including, but not limited to: scouting, recruiting, practice planning, taking on coaching responsibilities for the JV team and assisting with the varsity team, travel coordination, and other duties as assigned by the head coach.
Work cooperatively with faculty members, admission, alumni, and development office personnel, the sports information director, all student support services, and all athletic department personnel.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree required. Admittance into the Hastings College Masters of Teaching Program is required.

Midland University, a private, liberal arts university in Fremont, Nebraska (just outside of metro Omaha), is accepting applications for the position of GraduateAssistant -Technical Arts. This position will be offered within our graduateassistant structure, requiring admission to one of Midland's Master's level
programs (excluding Master of Athletic Training). The candidate will be responsible for contributing to
various aspects of the program, including recruiting, coaching, video and equipment duties, and other
tasks and duties. The position allows for an on-campus meal plan, stipend, and tuition remission from
the University. All position finalists will require three professional references.
This candidate will have frequent contact with prospective students and their families, high school
teachers and administrators, members of Omaha, Lincoln, and Fremont's Arts Community, Midland
University students, as well as the University faculty and staff. Specifically the Director of Technical Arts.
Job responsibilities include:
● Work with the Director of Technical Arts to develop and implement scenic designs for Midland's drama productions.
● Serve as the lead carpenter and assistant technical director in Midland's Scene Shop.
● Support the technical needs of a variety of Midland Performing Arts Events.
● Intermittently direct set and prop construction, stage and technical management, and oversee student performing arts productions.
● Assist with, and on occasion lead, recruiting efforts for the Technical Arts program, as well as the performing arts as a whole. This includes communicating with prospective students, updating recruitment tracking information, attending campus visits, logging awarding information, and
assisting with various recruitment duties as requested by the Director of Technical Arts or Asst. Director of Performing arts with confidentiality, professionalism, and enthusiasm.

Note: This is an hourly-paid student worker position for Spring 2026, with the intention of providing training and transitioning into a GraduateAssistantship for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Koraleski Commerce and Applied Behavioral Laboratory (CABLab) is the business research facility located int he Rod Rhoden Innovation Center at Mammel Hall. The Koraleski CABLab works with a variety of research topics and utilizes the latest in neurological data collection software and teachnology. The successful GraduateAssistant will be responsible for supporting the infrastructure in the laboratory and assisting researchers and the Koraleski CABLab Manger in the College of Business Administration at UNO. Assignments include:
* Conducting approved, on-going research projects by assisting the Koraleski CABLab with study development, technology, data management, providing tours/demos, and supervising undergraduate student workers.
* The GraduateAssistant will collaborate with a variety of people and use various computer programs to collect, enter, and organize research data, utilize statistical analysis programs for data analysis, assist with research proposals and proof papers for publications.
* Support the development of external research proposals (Academic/Consulting projects), as well as internal proposals (GRACA/FUSE)
* Upon job acceptance, the GraduateAssistant must successfully complete CITI/IRB training and iMotions training. All training completed at UNO at no cost to student.

Required Qualifications:
* Spring: CBA Graduate student - or an undergraduate student who is graduation in May 2026 with plans to earn an MBA
* Fall: CBA MBA student with a 3.5 minimum GPA
* Proficiency in Microsoft suite Excel/Word, and a desire to work with and to learn and utilize the functionality for new technology.
* Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written skills, attention to detail, leadership skills, problem solving skills, ability to multitask, and a willingness to interact with a variety of people both internal and external, in a professional and courteous manner
