The Circular Products Quality Inspector 2 is responsible for the testing and inspection of products at various stages of production process in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Supporting first inspection through final inspection for all OEM products. About the Role We're looking for a Quality Technician to join our Manufacturing team and help ensure that every product leaving our Assembly department meets the highest standards. This role is critical to maintaining our reputation for excellence and supporting continuous improvement across the production process. * The pay range for this role is $23/hour - $29/hour, depending on qualifications and experience * The work schedule for this role is 7:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday, and 7:00am - 11:00am on Friday. Overtime may be required. What You'll Do As a Quality Technician, you'll be the guardian of product quality. Schedule - Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM Your responsibilities * Understand and meet customer specifications, requirements, and expectations * Have good understanding of the processing procedures and sequence of event timing involved with manufacturing a given product * Obtain the ability to collect samples and perform required testing as necessary. * Understand and implement all elements of environmental program * Document test results for finished goods, raw material, environmental and all other tests * Ensure that equipment is properly calibrated and sample materials are prepared to meet scheduled requirements * Understand and follow Food Safety programs, GMP's, SOP's, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), sanitation and pest control programs and contact customer operating procedures * Notify all pertinent personnel of problems or potential problems * Understand and implement HOLD procedure to isolate product or raw material that deviates from specification * Maintain work area and equipment in clean and orderly manner * Make reagents necessary for lab procedures * Oversee immediate production issues, follow-up as necessary, HOLD product * Work efficiently with personnel in other departments * Support and assist Sanitation requirements to ensure compliance * Act as backup for other quality personnel during vacation, planned absence and sick time * Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by Leadership. * Operate equipment as needed to support Operations. As a Production Technician, you will play a vital role in a team of Operations professionals building inflight connectivity solutions connecting aircraft to harnessing the true power of inflight internet to improve how passengers fly and airlines operate. We bring flexibility and performance to airlines and passengers alike across every device, every flight, everywhere. Production Technicians perform functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. Production Technicians performs in-house servicing and repair of company products at established company repair site or service center. Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures using established procedures. Performs maintenance, testing and calibration of repaired products. Prepares reports for analysis of product failure trends and service ability issues. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS General Focus: * Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and provide feedback on the production floor. * Collaborate with and contribute to continuous improvement projects. * Recognize and act accordingly to differences between production and rework processes and units. * Understand and assist with any inventory transactions and data recording required for Intelsat's products. * Assist with physical inventory requirements as required. Manufacturing Focus: * Learn, understand, and use the processes and procedures for producing products. * Assist with the timely completion of manufactured assemblies while maintaining the highest quality levels of workmanship. * Demonstrate a basic understanding for electro-mechanical assemblies and corresponding systems. * Assist in the provisioning of products to prepare them for testing. * Inspect and test, per required Manufacturing Test Procedure (MTP) or Manufacturing Work Instructions (MWI) to finalize a high-quality product. * Assist with troubleshooting of failed product to determine the failed sub-component. * Assist with maintaining AS9100 production test requirements and certification. Repair Focus: * Learn, understand, and use the processes and procedures for troubleshooting and repairing products. * Recognize and act accordingly to differences in processes between customer and Gogo owned units. * Able to assemble/disassemble, repair or replace subassemblies and/or assemblies to produce an acceptable product without damage to components or assemblies. * Assist in the testing of customer-returned products. * Assist with the timely completion of quotation and repair phases while maintaining the highest quality levels of workmanship. * Diagnosis, test, maintain, and repair product subassemblies and/or assemblies to produce an acceptable product without damage to components or assemblies. * Inspect and test, per required Manufacturing Test Procedure (MTP) or Manufacturing Work Instructions (MWI) to finalize a high-quality product. * Maintains records of troubleshooting and repairs * Operate Test Stations for diagnostic and testing purposes.
