Milwaukee Valve Company is looking for a 2nd Shift Material Handler Trainee to join our Prairie Du Sac, WI team in Department 530. This position has a starting hourly wage of $19.02, plus an additional 3.5% shift premium.
*This position is eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus. The first half ($1,000) is payable after successful completion of the orientation period and the second half ($1,000) is payable after one year of employment.*
The regularly scheduled hours for this position are 2:30PM-11:00PM, Monday through Friday. Overtime may become a possibility or even required. When working overtime, the regularly scheduled shift is adjusted by 1-2 hours at either the beginning or end of the regularly scheduled shift. Overtime may also be requested or mandatory on Saturday as well.

Summary - The Material Handler Trainee will be responsible for learning the safe operation of material handling equipment, the transporting of various materials and containers that will be in a variety of sizes, shapes, weights, conditions and degree of difficulty for transporting. Individual will demonstrate accuracy in work and record keeping. Other primary responsibilities may include but not limited to the operation of: Parts Washers, Chip Processing, Production Saw, Floor Scrubber/Sweeper and other processing equipment. Use of mobile stairs, scales, hoist and working at heights may be required.

Job Description
Lemberg Electric is hiring a Driver / Material Handler to support our operations and field crews across Southeastern Wisconsin. This is a driving-heavy position that plays a critical role in delivering materials, tools, and equipment to jobsites while keeping our shop and inventory organized and efficient.

What You'll Do
Drive company vehicles to deliver and pick up materials, tools, and equipment from jobsites, vendors, and suppliers
Ensure accurate, timely delivery of materials to support electricians and field crews
Receive, inspect, and inventory incoming materials and equipment
Prepare and pre-package materials in the shop for jobsite delivery
Maintain organization, cleanliness, and safety of shop and storage areas
Track material usage, shortages, and damaged items
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment
Assist with recycling, disposal, and proper storage of surplus or scrap materials
Follow all company policies and OSHA safety requirements
Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs
Strong organization and attention to detail
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in construction, warehousing, or material handling
Familiarity with electrical tools, materials, or equipment
Forklift or pallet jack experience
Knowledge of jobsite safety and OSHA practices
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Local travel to multiple jobsites (approximately 50%)
Work performed in shops, warehouses, and active construction sites
Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and climbing stairs or ladders
Ability to work in various weather conditions

Facilitate the flow of materials in and out of the shop
Be certified to use the 30 ton Pendant Crane
Handle material with care, especially painted items by using the proper lifting equipment, straps, and corner protectors
Safely organize and separate material by sequences for prompt loading and shipping
Assist with unloading incoming material from trucks and railcars
Verify schedules and work to meet delivery dates
Insure that outgoing material has undergone a QC check, and inform leads of material that is ready to be shipped
Coordinate with the parts department for securing miscellaneous pallets of materials
Use handheld barcode scanners to verify complete loads, printing out load tickets
Safely secure outgoing material on trailers and railcars.
