    Pay: $125000 per year - $140000 per year At Great Wolf, the Director of Engineering sets the vision and managing the effective functioning of the entire hotel/resort and/or property, including physical buildings, grounds, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. The range listed is just one component of Great Wolf's total compensation package. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and other perks. Preventive Maintenance * Implements and monitors an effective and accountable Preventative Maintenance system tailored to the property that achieves proper environmental conditions. * Ensures ongoing preventive maintenance programs are scheduled for equipment, systems, and public areas. * Personally, conducts inspections, troubleshooting, supervision, and repair work for all areas of the property. * Maintain disaster preparedness by identifying potential problems, developing response plans, and managing crises. * Respond to all emergency situations. Third Party Vendors * Monitor and supervise subcontractors when it is not practical for the job to be performed in-house, or as may be requested. * Assess repair needs and estimated time needed for repair (including evaluating problems to determine whether or not professional assistance or further instruction is needed in order to complete task/repair). * Administer service contracts to support property needs. * If/when outsourcing third party vendors is necessary, monitor the functions of service contractors, building repair, and maintenance contractors.     The Director of Engineering provides executive leadership and strategic direction for the development, operation, and maintenance of Morongo Casino Resort & Spa's facilities, buildings, and grounds. This role sets long-term Facilities and Engineering goals, ensures operational excellence, and upholds the highest standards of safety, compliance, and guest experience. Essential Duties And Responsibilities * Develop and execute strategic plans for the growth, efficiency, and reliability of all facilities operations across the resort and casino. * Formulate and implement short- and long-term facilities and engineering goals aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and business objectives. * Inspect facilities regularly to ensure compliance with codes, safety regulations, and internal quality standards. * Oversee daily maintenance schedules and coordinate ongoing projects with work orders to ensure minimal disruption to casino and resort operations. * Ensure proper operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other critical infrastructure systems. * Manage and oversee carpentry, painting, general maintenance, and groundskeeping to ensure timely, quality results. * Lead, supervise, and direct facilities staff through subordinate managers; oversee recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and professional development. * Develop, manage, and forecast the annual departmental budget, including personnel, operations, and capital improvement projects. * Evaluate and approve contractor proposals and submittals for facility-related projects, renovations, and new infrastructure development. * Review, recommend, and implement updates to policies, procedures, and regulations for continuous improvement. * Partner with Risk Management to ensure a safe environment for guests, team members, and contractors, enforcing all safety policies and procedures. * Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for senior leadership and regulatory agencies. * Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational needs. Qualifications * Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and direct large-scale facilities operations, including building and grounds maintenance. * In-depth knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting, paving, grading, and general engineering systems. * Experience in inventory control, budget development, and cost management. * Knowledge of cogeneration plant systems is preferred.
