Montefiore Medical Center's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a full-time Addiction Psychiatrist to join the dedicated team of addiction professionals in its Substance Abuse Treatment Program. SATP has nearly 50 years of experience providing evidence-based care, integrating medications for addiction treatment with counseling, medical and psychiatric services for individuals with substance use disorders in the Bronx, NY.
The successful applicant would provide care to individuals enrolled in SATP's opioid treatment programs and intensive outpatient substance use treatment program. As part of the program's interdisciplinary team, they would work closely with SATP's internal medicine providers, nurses, Psychologists, clinical supervisors, counselors and peers to assist patients in reaching their goals.
Interested individuals should be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. They would also have the opportunity to supervise medical students, Psychiatry Residents and Addiction Psychiatry fellows, as well as to coordinate the program's quality improvement initiatives. They would also be eligible for a faculty appointment at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
This position offers a competitive salary, ranging from $240,000 to $265,000, and comprehensive benefits including the opportunity to participate in the Department's thriving faculty practice. SATP is also an approved site for the NHSC Substance Use Disorder Workforce Loan Repayment Program, providing up to $75,000 in student loan repayment in exchange for a 3-year service commitment.

The Position and Candidate Qualifications
The Montefiore Department of Radiology is seeking an ABR-certified/eligible radiologist to join the Cardiothoracic Imaging Division for a full-time position. Our team is a collegial group that provides coverage for the Heart Center, Cancer Center, Critical Care, Inpatient, Emergency and Outpatient Imaging. We are an important component of a growing, ACR-accredited lung cancer screening initiative and both heart and lung transplant programs.
Qualified candidates should be proficient in CT and MR for both pulmonary and cardiac indications and have mastery of chest radiography. CT guided biopsy proficiency is a plus. Mentorship will be provided for highly specialized practice areas and for research. Our staff is responsible for the education and supervision of two fellows as well as the chest and cardiac rotations and curriculum for radiology residents.
ABR-certified/eligible fellowship trained Cardiothoracic Radiologist.
In addition to a competitive salary starting at $425,000-$525,000, we offer the opportunity to make more income with additional call responsibilities and productivity incentives. LTD, STD, paid malpractice, health, dental, vision and a 403(b) are also offered.

Designated Attending Anesthesiologists/ Vice President, Nursing and Chief Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for performance appraisals and scheduling
Responsible For
The performance of pre-anesthesia assessment, induction and maintenance of and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring of the patients physiological condition and performance of clinical intervention as necessary, under the supervision of an Attending Anesthesiologist.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Practice
1. In conjunction with Attending Anesthesiologist, performs a thorough and completed pre-anesthesia assessment. Responsible for obtaining and reviewing relevant tests and discussing findings with the Attending.
2. Obtains and/or verifies that an informed consent has been obtained for the planned anesthetic intervention from the patient or legal guardian. Discusses anesthetic options and risks with the patient and/or legal guardian after discussion with Attending Anesthesiologist. Documents in the patient's medical record that informed consent was obtained.
3. Formulates a patient-specific plan for anesthesia care in conjunction with the Anesthesiologist. The plan is based upon comprehensive patient assessment, problem analysis, anticipated surgical or therapeutic procedure, patient and surgeon preferences, and current anesthesia principles.
4. Induces anesthesia under the supervision of an Attending Anesthesiologist and maintains anesthesia at required levels. Assesses continuously the patient's response to the anesthetic and/or surgical intervention and must immediately notify the Attending Anesthesiologist of significant changes in the patient's condition and intervenes as required, under the supervision of an Attending Anesthesiologist to maintain the patient in a satisfactory physiologic condition.
5. Monitors the patient's physiologic condition as appropriate for the type of anesthesia and specific patient needs.
* Monitors ventilation continuously. Verifies intubation of the trachea by auscultation, chest excursion, and confirmation of carbon dioxide in the expired gas. Continuously monitors end-tidal carbon dioxide during controlled or assisted ventilation. Uses spirometry and ventilatory pressure monitors.
* Monitors oxygenation continuously by clinical observation, pulse oximetry, and if indicated, arterial blood gas analysis.
* Monitors cardiovascular status continuously via electrocardiogram and when appropriate, heart sounds.
* Records blood pressure and heart rate.
* Monitors body temperature continuously on all pediatric patients receiving general anesthesia and when indicated, on all other patients.
* Monitors neuromuscular function and status when neuromuscular blocking agents are administered.
* Monitors and assesses the patient positioning and protective measures.
The omission of any monitoring standards shall be documented and the reason stated on the patient's anesthesia record. The CRNA shall be in constant attendance of the patient until another qualified health care provider has accepted the responsibility for care.
6. Maintains complete, accurate, and timely documentation of pertinent information on the patient's medical record. Must document all anesthetic interventions and patient responses.
7. Transfers the responsibility for care of the patient to other qualified providers in a manner that assures continuity of care and patient safety.
8. Adheres to appropriate safety precautions, as established within the institution, to minimize the risk of fire, explosion, electrical shock and equipment malfunction. Documents on the patient's medical record that the anesthesia machine and equipment were checked.
9. Inspects the anesthesia machine prior to use, and monitors according to established guidelines. Checks the readiness, availability, cleanliness, and working condition of all equipment to be utilized in the administration of the anesthesia care. When the patient is ventilated by an automatic mechanical ventilator, monitors the integrity of the breathing system with a device capable of detecting a disconnection by emitting an audible alarm. Monitors oxygen concentration continuously with an oxygen supply failure alarm system.
10. Takes precautions to minimize the risk of infection to the patient, the Nurse Anesthetist, and other healthcare providers.
Professional Practice
1. Participates in the ongoing review and evaluation of the quality and appropriateness of anesthesia care as a member of the Department of Anesthesiology. Evaluation shall be performed based upon appropriated outcome criteria and reviewed on an ongoing basis.
2. Participates in a continual process of self-evaluation and strives to incorporate new techniques and knowledge into practice.
3. Participates in departmental Grand Rounds, presenting relevant cases as appropriate.
4. Respects and maintains the basic rights of patients.
5. Assists in research projects as directed by an anesthesiologist.
6. Participates in the instruction and supervision of Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists (SRNAs).
Administrative Practice
1. Collaborates with members of the health care team in the development, implementation and ongoing review of policies, procedures and standards of care for a designated patient population.
2. Evaluates and documents the patient care outcomes for the Department of Anesthesia and influences Departmental changes in staffing, patient assignment and standards of care.
3. Participates in the identification of performance improvement indicators and develops quality improvement programs with the health care team.
4. Participates in risk management activities including the identification and communication of risk in a timely manner.
5. Responds to budgetary constraints and incorporates financial principles into program development, patient care activities and allocation of resources.
6. Formulates trends and identifies potential problems in the delivery of patient care in the perioperative setting and implements action plans and educational programs for faculty and staff.

The performance of pre-anesthesia assessment, induction and maintenance of and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and performance of clinical intervention as necessary, under the supervision of an Attending Anesthesiologist.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Practice
1. In conjunction with Attending Anesthesiologist, performs a thorough and completed pre-anesthesia assessment. Responsible for obtaining and reviewing relevant tests and discussing findings with the Attending.
2. Obtains and/or verifies that an informed consent has been obtained for the planned anesthetic intervention from the patient or legal guardian. Discusses anesthetic options and risks with the patient and/or legal guardian after discussion with Attending Anesthesiologist. Documents in the patients' medical record that informed consent was obtained.
3. Formulates a patient-specific plan for anesthesia care in conjunction with the Anesthesiologist. The plan is based upon comprehensive patient assessment, problem analysis, anticipated surgical or therapeutic procedure, patient and surgeon preferences, and current anesthesia principles.
4. Induces anesthesia under the supervision of an Attending Anesthesiologist and maintains anesthesia at required levels. Assesses continuously the patient's response to the anesthetic and/or surgical intervention and must immediately notify the Attending Anesthesiologist of significant changes in the patient's condition and intervenes as required, under the supervision of an Attending Anesthesiologist to maintain the patient in a satisfactory physiologic condition.
5. Monitors the patient's physiologic condition as appropriate for the type of anesthesia and specific patient needs.
* Monitors ventilation continuously. Verifies intubation of the trachea by auscultation, chest excursion, and confirmation of carbon dioxide in the expired gas. Continuously monitors end-tidal carbon dioxide during controlled or assisted ventilation. Uses spirometry and ventilatory pressure monitors.
* Monitors oxygenation continuously by clinical observation, pulse oximetry, and if indicated, arterial blood gas analysis.
* Monitors cardiovascular status continuously via electrocardiogram and when appropriate, heart sounds.
* Records blood pressure and heart rate.
* Monitors body temperature continuously on all pediatric patients receiving general anesthesia and when indicated, on all other patients.
* Monitors neuromuscular function and status when neuromuscular blocking agents are administered.
* Monitors and assesses the patient positioning and protective measures.
The omission of any monitoring standards shall be documented and the reason stated on the patients anesthesia record. The CRNA shall be in constant attendance of the patient until another qualified health care provider has accepted the responsibility for care.
6. Maintains complete, accurate, and timely documentation of pertinent information on the patients' medical record. Must document all anesthetic interventions and patient responses.
7. Transfers the responsibility for care of the patient to other qualified providers in a manner that assures continuity of care and patient safety.
8. Adheres to appropriate safety precautions, as established within the institution, to minimize the risk of fire, explosion, electrical shock and equipment malfunction. Documents on the patients' medical record that the anesthesia machine and equipment were checked.
9. Inspects the anesthesia machine prior to use and monitors according to established guidelines. Checks the readiness, availability, cleanliness, and working condition of all equipment to be utilized in the administration of the anesthesia care. When the patient is ventilated by an automatic mechanical ventilator, monitors the integrity of the breathing system with a device capable of detecting a disconnection by emitting an audible alarm. Monitors oxygen concentration continuously with an oxygen supply failure alarm system.
10. Takes precautions to minimize the risk of infection to the patient, the Nurse Anesthetist, and other healthcare providers.
Professional Practice
1. Participates in the ongoing review and evaluation of the quality and appropriateness of anesthesia care as a member of the Department of Anesthesiology. Evaluation shall be performed based upon appropriated outcome criteria and reviewed on an ongoing basis.
2. Participates in a continual process of self-evaluation and strives to incorporate new techniques and knowledge into practice.
3. Participates in departmental Grand Rounds, presenting relevant cases as appropriate.
4. Respects and maintains the basic rights of patients.
5. Assists in research projects as directed by an anesthesiologist.
6. Participates in the instruction and supervision of Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists (SRNAs).
Administrative Practice
1. Collaborates with members of the health care team in the development, implementation and ongoing review of policies, procedures and standards of care for a designated patient population.
2. Evaluates and documents the patient care outcomes for the Department of Anesthesia and influences Departmental changes in staffing, patient assignment and standards of care.
3. Participates in the identification of performance improvement indicators and develops quality improvement programs with the health care team.
4. Participates in risk management activities including the identification and communication of risk in a timely manner.
5. Responds to budgetary constraints and incorporates financial principles into program development, patient care activities and allocation of resources.
6. Formulates trends and identifies potential problems in the delivery of patient care in the perioperative setting and implements action plans and educational programs for faculty and staff.

This full-time position offers a 1-week on/1-week off schedule with shifts from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The position primarily involves providing coverage for the Emergency Department and general radiology cases and can be performed 100% remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret body/chest CT, basic MRI, ultrasound, and radiographs.
Perform basic neuroimaging interpretations (preferred but not required).
For non-routine Emergency Department studies, provide preliminary reads which are finalized by subspecialists the following day.
No responsibilities for procedures, nuclear medicine, or mammography studies.
Compensation and Benefits
In addition to a competitive salary starting at $425,000-$525,000, we offer the opportunity to make more income with additional call responsibilities and productivity incentives. The Montefiore Department of Radiology is seeking an ABR-certified/eligible radiologist to join the Cardiothoracic Imaging Division for a full-time position, beginning July 2020. The 6-member Cardiothoracic Imaging Division is a collegial group that provides coverage of several inpatient and outpatient facilities, the Heart Center, Cancer Center, Critical Care and Emergency Imaging as well as Heart and Lung transplant programs. Qualified candidates should be proficient in CT and MR for both pulmonary and cardiac indications and have mastery of chest radiography as well as procedures. We have a robust, ACR-accredited lung cancer screening program. Mentorship will be provided for highly specialized practice areas and for research. Our staff is responsible for the education and supervision of two fellows as well as the chest and cardiac rotations and curriculum for radiology residents.
Montefiore Medical Center is the premier teaching hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine serving the exceptionally diverse population of Bronx, NY a short drive or public transit commute from Manhattan and also easily accessible from Westchester County, Long Island and northern New Jersey. Imaging equipment is state of the art. A new lab offers 3D imaging, 3D printing, augmented reality and simulation training.

Experience working in an outpatient imaging setting and building strong relationships with referring providers is desired. The medical director of Montefiore Imaging in Elmsford, NY, oversees operational and financial performance of this site in coordination with department leadership. Job responsibilities include:
Plan, organize, and direct the clinical activities of Montefiore Imaging in Elmsford, NY.
Implement the established departmental mission that reflects strategic and operational plans, resource allocation and organizational policies.
Serve as the primary onsite Radiologist and be the point of contact for referring physicians - both within MMC and in the community - to ensure excellent service for both physicians and patients.
Educate referring physicians in the community about the high quality and advanced technology of MMC Radiology services, and support marketing activities aimed at business development for Montefiore Imaging in Elmsford, NY.
Collaborate with local administrative leadership to ensure that Radiologic Technologists, Physician Assistants, and Nursing Personnel meet the requirements as put forth by the State of New York and the Medical Center.
Effectively communicate site specific issues, needs (equipment, personnel, and space) and updates on a regular basis to the departmental leadership.
Oversee the on-site timeliness, collegiality, professionalism, and ability of faculty for consultation for referring physicians and other medical personnel in their local department.
Participate in clinical quality assurance, hiring, and training for the support staff at the site.
Formulate, implement, sustain, and promote business development strategies to attract new imaging referrals. Participate in Department-wide initiatives to grow outpatient imaging business across sites.
Work with the local administrator to implement the departmental quality control and radiation safety programs designed to minimize patient, personnel, and public risks and maximize the quality of diagnostic information.
In conjunction with departmental leadership help identify, develop and monitor patient and physician satisfaction criteria.
Work with the Director of Finance to develop and monitor the financial performance and budget.
Work with the local administrator to oversee the operational staffing and workflow to drive process improvement across Radiology for the site.
Work collaboratively with the Division Leads to ensure physician coverage needed at the site.
Develop, implement and manage specific programs designed to support the growth of Radiology services at the site.
Work collegially and collaboratively with other physicians to foster team based culture and performance to advance the mission of Montefiore, and the Department of Radiology.
