Basic Purpose

Job Description
The Oklahoma Indigent Defense System (OIDS) is the statewide public defender agency which provides legal representation to indigent clients throughout the State of Oklahoma, with the exception of Oklahoma and Tulsa counties.
OIDS is currently seeking a full-time Deputy Division Chief in the Non-Capital Trial Division, Woodward office.
Basic Purpose
This position is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the division. This includes all tasks and responsibilities required for providing legal representation and administrative functions such as case management and other administrative functions.
Typical Functions
The functions performed in this job family will vary by level, unit and organization, but may include the following:
* Provides direct legal representation to agency clients as assigned
* Performs administrative, management, and supervisory duties.
