THE ROLE
In this role, you will thrive with the variety of electrical engineering project opportunities. The engineer applies electrical engineering design principles to building systems with project work focusing on interpreting the architectural design of a building and supplying it with necessary power needs. This includes designing lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, HVAC power supply, and other electrical components. These responsibilities include:
Consults and collaborates with clients to grasp project vision.
Interprets the architectural design plans and researches appropriate power systems to fit the scope of the project.
Utilize engineering design software to build power system components such as circuitry, equipment power plans, lighting plans, and fire alarm plans within the building design.
Perform project specification writing.
Ensures compliance with electrical safety standards and building codes.
Works cross-functionally with other engineering disciplines to support project design.
Tackles electrical engineering design challenges creatively, resolving complex problems.
Partners with the Operations Manager to identify and pursue new business opportunities, driving revenue growth and expanding market presence.

YOUR STRENGTHS
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program
Engineer-In-Training (EIT) professional designation required
Professional Engineering (PE) licensure or ability to obtain after-hire
5+ years' of US-based experience in electrical engineering system design within architectural and building project disciplines

The Job Summary
The Associate ElectricalEngineer position provides opportunities to problem-solve and applystandard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on varied and diverse projects. The Responsibilities
Assisting power systems analysis
Developing drawings and specifications for construction, and assisting field investigations
Supporting teams in lighting layouts and lighting control system designs
Participating in formal, informal and project team meetings
Ability and willingness to travel to an off-site location and/or accept client site assignments when required
The Requirements
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and 0 - 3 years of electrical design experience in the design of power distribution, lighting, and grounding systems for production, manufacturing and industrial facilities preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
Ability to use a computer and computer software programs, such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
The Benefits
Salary Range: $65,000-$90,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
