Read electrical and electronic schematics/diagrams, and basic hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.
Test low voltage electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
Maintain an organized workplace that complies with housekeeping requirements.

Troubleshoots equipment
Assists junior techs in resolving technical problems
Troubleshoots networking problems
Attends record review sessions with peers and electroencephalographs
Studies for certification/registration in the various neurophysiology procedures
Attends seminars and pursues work-related programs independently
Is able to maneuver around the HOV environment (order entry, documentation and charge entry)
Is able to view, schedule and check in patients in Cadence
Is able to operate communication devices (email, viscera, pagers, phones and fax machines)
Is able to troubleshoot when networking problems occur
What you will need:
Education: High School diploma required. Graduation from a Neurophysiology program and/or Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred. .
Current CPR certification from American Heart Association.
One (1) year experience in two (2) of the following neurophysiology areas (EEG/EP, EP/IOM, Autonomic/EMG, EMG/EEG). EEG, EP, or CNCT certification
preferred. CNIM certification preferred. IOM experience preferred

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, skilled, and reliable Lead HVAC Service Technician with strong commercial HVAC background. This person will lead service and maintenance work on HVAC/R systems across commercial buildings - such as offices, schools, retail centers, multi‑unit complexes, industrial facilities, and other large-scale properties. The ideal candidate combines deep technical HVAC knowledge, strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability, leadership skills, and excellent client communication.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and perform installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of commercial HVAC systems - including rooftop units (RTUs), chillers, air handlers, boilers, ventilation systems, ductwork, and control systems.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues: trace faults, test components (motors, compressors, circuits), identify root cause, and perform required repairs or replacements.
Conduct routine preventative maintenance and tune‑ups (e.g., cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, replacing filters, lubricating moving parts, verifying airflow and system balance).
Perform system start‑ups and control system setup when new HVAC/R equipment is installed or existing systems are upgraded / retrofitted.
Supervise HVAC service staff or subcontractors: assign tasks, monitor progress, ensure adherence to safety rules and technical standards, and provide guidance on complex jobs.
Serve as primary point of contact for clients - communicate findings, explain needed repairs or maintenance, propose system upgrades or improvements, and provide cost estimates or service quotes.
Maintain accurate documentation of all service calls, maintenance tasks, repairs, parts used, timesheets, and client interactions.
Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations - including safe refrigerant handling and disposal under EPA Section 608 (or other applicable regulations).
Keep service vehicle, tools, and equipment maintained and organized; ensure readiness for service calls.
Mentor and train junior technicians and apprentices, sharing expertise and ensuring company/service quality standards are maintained.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of 5-10+ years experience in commercial HVAC / HVACR service, maintenance or installation.
Valid HVAC certification or license (or equivalent), with relevant refrigerant handling certification such as EPA 608 (Universal preferred).
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems - mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, ventilation, ductwork, control systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and building plans.
Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills - comfortable interacting with clients, facility managers, and team members, and able to explain technical issues in clear, non‑technical language.
Leadership or supervisory experience (assigning tasks, mentoring, coordinating with subcontractors or multi‑trade professionals).
Time‑management and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple work orders, prioritize calls and maintain service logs.
Physically able to perform demanding tasks - lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, access rooftops or mechanical rooms, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification from North American Technician Excellence (NATE) or equivalent recognized industry certification.
Experience with building automation systems (BAS), variable‑frequency drives (VFDs), complex control systems, chillers, large‑scale HVAC installations or retrofits.
Previous experience supervising or training HVAC staff or subcontractors.
Ability to respond to after‑hours emergency calls or weekend service needs.
Work Environment & Conditions
Work occurs on‑site at commercial buildings (offices, schools, hospitals, retail, industrial plants), often in mechanical rooms, rooftops, or utility areas.
May involve exposure to varying temperatures, refrigerants, electrical systems, chemical cleaners, and confined spaces.
Must follow strict safety procedures and use appropriate protective gear.
Occasionally required to respond to emergency service calls, including nights or weekends.

A basic knowledge of sound and video equipment, electronic components and related repair equipment is required. Electronic repair experience is desirable. General knowledge in the safe and proper use of hand and small power tools is required.
Work is performed in an internal, open space which is climate controlled. A combination of workbench and open space workspaces will be utilized dependent on product being worked on.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Physically inspect incoming equipment and compare to written warranty information for in and out-of-warranty repair status and prioritize work accordingly.
Ability to effectively communicate with Manufacturer Help desks for warranty testing and validation.
Physically examine and assess in-coming equipment for reparability, usable parts and/or scrap material.
Perform timely and reliable repairs of damaged equipment using small hand held and electronic repair tools including soldering and de-soldering equipment.
Physically test equipment to insure repairs are complete and devices performs as designed
Re package and labeling of repaired devices
Perform data entry to update database
Perform quality Control checks s needed.
Communicates with internal and external clients verbally and electronically as needed to insure repair needs, concerns and roadblocks can be addressed expediently.
