Woodard & Curran is offering a unique opportunity to join our southern California teams, which provide high-quality water and wastewater engineering services to municipal clients throughout the region and across the nation. The successful candidate will be a motivated, growth-oriented professional with the ability to manageproject teams from the planning, preliminary design, final design, construction phases, start-up, and operations of facilities or infrastructure. You will have staff to mentor and clients to support. Not only will you have engineers to support you, but our integrated electrical, structural, CAD, operations, and SCADA teams will help you deliver an enhanced product. Who we are looking for:
You will primarily provide engineering support on drinking water, wastewater, recycled water, and water resources projects. This position offers the opportunity to direct and collaborate with a team of junior and mid-level staff while providing the ability to consistently work with mid- and senior-level technical staff and leadership across the organization. The ideal candidate is a technically focused individual with strong experience in evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing drinking water and wastewater infrastructure and systems and experienced in engaging with client stakeholders such as operators, superintendents, and public officials to understand how to support their needs. Familiarity with a broad range of issues related to master planning, treatment, distribution, and collection systems is preferred. You will lead the technical delivery of multiple projects, must be familiar with local and federal regulations, and be able to support marketing and proposal efforts.
What You Will Be Doing at Woodard & Curran:
Act as the ProjectManager for all sizes of projects
Work alongside Technical Manager(s), when needed, to lead the technical approach and delivery of projects.
Prepare and deliver presentations and training programs to internal and external clients and professional associations.
Support business development efforts under the direction of a client manager to provide technical support and guidance to a range of clients
What You Will Need To Succeed:
10-15 years of engineering experience.
A B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or an M.S. Degree is preferred.
Registered Professional Engineer in California
The successful candidate will have technical and project delivery expertise in civil and environmental engineering and an in-depth understanding of the engineering concepts associated with all types of municipal water and wastewater systems, including water supply and treatment processes and distribution and collection systems infrastructure.
Knowledgeable in state bidding laws and funding programs.
Up to date on the latest technological advances, regulatory trends, equipment, and processes.
Superior writing, communication, and presentation skills.

Member Duties : Team Up La Plata has been coordinating a summer scholarship initiative, Teaming Up for Summer, since 2023 that addresses top community-identified barriers to youth participation in out of school time activities. Overview
The Associate ProjectManager (APM) managesprojects and proposals of medium complexity for the Field Services practice in the Power Sector.
The APM may also be assigned to the roll of assistant PM to assist a ProjectManager (PM) in the coordination of more complex projects and proposals in the Power Sector.
The APM manages assigned projects from the proposal stage through project completion. The APM will ensure appropriate resources are assigned to the project and manage resources through the completion and issue of client deliverables on time and on budget as dictated by project scope and schedule.
The APM is responsible for managingproject budget and schedule via the change management process and keeping the project accounting system current with project contract value and estimate at completion values.

* Support the execution of a field service project portfolio that includes multiple site locations including a diverse team located in various locations.
* Support the onboarding and administration of key client programs.

* Associate ProjectManager is responsible to manage and/or assist Project Mangers acting as the Assistant ProjectManager in successful execution of complex projects when so assigned, acting as primary support to the PM in the execution of projectmanagement deliverables.
* Project proposal development for projects of medium complexity and support of the PMs in complex project proposal development including:
* Ensure a clear understanding of project scope and terms
* Facilitate the proposal development including, project execution plan, estimation, compilation and on time delivery ensuring all requirements are met
* Ensure proper management review and approval of all field service proposals
* Facilitate a legal review by TRC Legal Staff prior to contract signing
* Project financial management, including
* Ensure the project's budgeted costs and profits are met or improved.
* Ensure timely and comprehensive change order management.
* Establishment of and maintenance of project cash flows.
* Facilitate efficient project billing, working within company's accounting practices.

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum of five years of relevant experience in California's energy or sustainability sectors, business operations or consulting, construction oversight or related field. Related credentials in energy efficiency or leadership/management are a plus but not required.
* To be successful in this role, experience managing and motivating a team to accomplish goals; organizing and delegating work; problem solving; communicating goals; coaching team members to improve skill; nurturing strengths and identifying areas for improvement.
* Demonstrated ability to meet client/project goals, manage multiple tasks, and ensure timely and effective project delivery.
* Technical competency:
* Strong computer proficiency that ensures day-to-day work and meeting attendance can be performed successfully. Experience using MS Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and ability to conduct independent computer-based research is required.

Under the general direction of the Executive Director of Facilities Planning and Capital Projects (FPCP) the ProjectManager II is responsible for managing assigned multiple renewal and new construction projects including all aspects of projectmanagement from inception to completion in varying phases concurrently. The ProjectManager II manages high dollar value projects (in single or multiple projects), complex budgeting requirements, and multiple program elements and stakeholders, with proven experience in forecasting and managingproject risk. This position is required to interface with faculty, staff and administrators from a variety of colleges and departments, project donors/representatives, CSU officials, the State Fire Marshal, and various professional consultants, contractors, vendors and other related parties.
The ProjectManager II will work in partnership with Cal Poly SLO to support projects at the Cal Poly Maritime Academy at the Solano Campus located in Vallejo, CA.
Department Summary
Facilities Management and Development (FMD), a unit within the Administration and Finance Division (AFD), is responsible for the planning, design, construction, operations, maintenance, and repair of university facilities, grounds, and infrastructure. FMD consists of four critical and interdependent support departments, including Customer & Business Services; Energy, Utilities, & Sustainability; Facilities Planning & Capital Projects (FPCP); and Facilities Operations. Key Qualifications

Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field AND seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the area of projectmanagement. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis. A master's degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required professional experience.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, DEGREES, CREDENTIALS: Possession of (or ability to obtain by date of hire) a valid California Driver's License. This position may require the ability to obtain AHERA Inspector certification for asbestos related work and Cal/OSHA Lead training as well as the ability to wear respiratory protection. A Cal/OSHA mandated medical evaluation is required prior to the use of a respirator.
Salary and Benefits
The anticipated hiring range for this role is $110,000 - $140,000 per year. Note that the offer is calculated based on the background and relevant years of experience of the individual selected.

Position Information
This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits-eligible, permanent/probationary position.
This position is designated as exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
Standard SDSU work hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.
The individual hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU in San Diego.
Department Summary
The Division of Business and Financial Affairs is responsible for ensuring a safe, productive campus environment while providing the highest quality service in support of academic excellence through thoughtful stewardship of financial, technological, infrastructure and human resources at San Diego State University.
SDSU Facilities Services (FS) is a customer-service based organization providing facility maintenance activities through a transparent and deliberate process. It is responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, renovation, remodel, and alteration activities in support of the academic and research mission of the university. Facilities Services employs approximately 250 employees and supports approximately eight million square feet of buildings (including residence halls and parking structures) and 280 acres of improved and unimproved land.

Education and Experience
Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.
Key Qualifications
Knowledge of programming, site planning, utility design, architectural design, interior design, space planning, projectmanagement, building codes and regulations governing. Public Works construction is highly desirable.
Possession of a professional license and have experience managingprojects in a Higher Education environment preferred.
Highly effective interpersonal skills and an interest in managing complex programming, design, and construction projects in a university setting.
Familiarity with scheduling software, construction projectmanagement software, Excel spreadsheets and word processing software.
Proficient in working within a union-based environment.
CSU contracting methods for maintenance and construction skills preferred.
Extensive background in code compliance - Cal OSHA, NFPA 70/ 70E (NEC), NFPA 72 (Fire Alarm), NFPA 73 (Fire / Electrical Hazards)
Work may include driving vehicles and other automotive equipment, operating various machines (computer and related complex software, iPad or other handheld devices, calculator, etc.), and lifting and transporting equipment, material and supplies up to 50 pounds (in excess of 50 pounds with assistance).
Understanding of CSU, SUAM, and University-specific policies, procedures, and compliance requirements preferred.
Licenses/Certifications Required
Valid California Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within 10 days of hire.

Compensation:
Step placement will be determined based on relevant qualifications and professional experience, in alignment with the department's budget and equity guidelines.
Initial step placement is not expected to exceed Step 12 ($7,935) for highly qualified candidates.
CSU Classification Salary Range: $6,382 - $9,297 per month (Step 1 - Step 20).
Future increases, including step advancements, are subject to contract negotiations.

DEFINITION:
