Description of Work
The clinical dietitian provides assessment of nutritional status and makes recommendations for nutritional needs. The clinical dietitian directs the development and implementation of a nutritional plan of care; counsels' patients in the guidelines, acceptance and selection of foods needed to meet nutritional goals; and counsel's family and/or caregivers. The clinical dietitian will monitor progress and reassess as indicated to provide for long term care when needed. Position serves as a member of the Interdisciplinary treatment team and as a consultant for other staff due to nutritional knowledge and acts as a liaison between area of assignment, medical staff, and nutritional services department. Working hours will be Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, on call rotating weekends.

Description of Work

The Walter B. Jones Center operates two adult inpatient treatment programs on site in Greenville, NC: (1) Woodside Treatment Center and (2) Lakeside Psychiatric Hospital. The primary purpose and mission of the Walter B. Jones Center is "To provide inpatient treatment, psychiatric stabilization and medical detoxification for individuals with mental health, substance use and other co-occurring psychiatric diagnoses for ongoing community based treatment and recovery". The Center is accredited by the Joint Commission and SAMHSA/CSAT. Two specialty programs are offered to all 100 NC Counties: (1) Inpatient Opioid Treatment for adults and (2) Inpatient Perinatal Services for women in their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimesters with substance use disorders.

Description of Work
Broughton Hospital is currently accepting applications for multiple Clinical Dietitian positions. These positions are responsible for providing individualized nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy for patients with a wide variety of acute and chronic illnesses/conditions. This position has routine patient contact on various psychiatric care units and treatment care areas which requires travel to various areas throughout the Broughton Hospital campus.
