Description of Work
The primary purpose of this position is to load, transport, and unload all materials manufactured, sold, or transported by Correction Enterprise.
This position also picks up, delivers, and unloads, raw materials used in Enterprise operations. This also includes participation in actual loading process, when necessary, to help distribute weight properly and facilitate deliveries or route scheduling. Position requires public contact, which includes answering questions, being knowledgeable about Enterprise products and services, and providing prompt, courteous service at shipping destinations. The selected candidate needs an excellent knowledge of North Carolina geography and highway system. Finally, the candidate is responsible for the safe operation and routine maintenance and cleaning of truck tractors and trailers.

Never drive while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications that may impair your ability to operate a vehicle safely, report any accidents immediately and cooperate fully with insurance claims investigations.
Log assigned vehicle daily.
Safely transport guests to and from airport and on property locations.
Promptly respond to shuttle calls and provide transportation to guests throughout resort property.
Wear and maintain the cleanliness of assigned uniform, including assigned headset.
Complete a full vehicle inspection at the beginning and end of each vehicle assignment/shift to include fuel level, cleanliness, and any physical damage to the vehicle. Clean and replenish fuel as needed. Report low fuel level or physical damage to vehicle prior to driving.
Immediately report to the Director of Transportation any accidents, speeding tickets or any other driving-related violation.
Confirm all details of the next day's work schedule with the Transportation Coordinator or Supervisor.
Double check tickets and assignments upon arrival at work each day.
Play designated DVD(s) for guests arriving from the airports.
Prepare a cooler with bottled water for airport transfers.
