PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist project executive, project manager and superintendents with supervising and documenting project schedules, change-orders, submittals, budgets, and submit RFIs for approval
Assist in the maintenance of contract documents for field operations
Coordinate project activities under the supervision from a project manager
Attend project meetings onsite and in the office
Assist with project close-out documentation
Establish and maintain open, positive relationships with the team, clients, vendors, and suppliers
Provide in-person support at job sites as required
Participates actively in managing commissioning and punch-list activities and reporting
Manage the submittal and delivery process
Manage RFI's
Manage drawings, specifications, and other project documents properly utilizing Procore
Prepare subcontractor and vendor purchase orders and help manage sub and vendor changes to align with TGG changes

QUALIFICATIONS:
A degree in construction management or relevant engineering experience in the trades
Strong communication skills
Mechanical aptitude / mechanically inclined

A Day in the Life of a Sr. Construction Manager:
Provide services and support for the following areas:
Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
Facilitate the development of cost estimates that include conceptual estimates prior to design as well as detailed time and materials estimates from design documents.
Act as a liaison between the company / general contractor / landlord / architect / Operations team and other vendors to ensure proper communication and correspondence occur in a timely manner to expedite the development process.
Maintain and update the project tracking software as to project status and achieved benchmarks.
Provide detailed updates in roll out meetings on status of all assigned projects.
Inspect proposed project spaces for construction and/or conversion needs, working with architects and other vendors.
Assist with development, review and modification of floor plans and construction documents, as needed.
Manage the GC selection & bid process, bid leveling and qualifying, making recommendations to Director of Real Estate for selection of GC and awarding of contract.
Work closely with Construction Coordinator to ensure proper timing of equipment, fixture and supply deliveries prior to open.
Weekly on-site visits to manage and drive progress on construction projects.
Interface with other vendors such as IT and medical equipment vendors to ensure timely delivery and installation of items.
Test and confirm functionality of all systems, working with other staff as necessary.
Coordinate facility repair efforts for existing store base.
Coordinate turn-over of projects to Ops opening team.

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree preferred

Knowledge of MEP design requirements, general knowledge of significant medical equipment and industry practices specific to the Healthcare (OSHPD) sector in California is preferred
Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings and blueprints is required
Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or a Construction Management Professional (CM) is preferred.

We are seeking experienced Construction Superintendents to support our projects located in and around the Boston Metro Area. As a Superintendent, you will provide leadership and supervision of all activities for a Schimenti construction site and ensure consistent safety measures are observed by all team members.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day field operations of commercial construction projects
Oversee subcontractors, laborers, and other Schimenti Field Operations team members
Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, architects, and client representatives
Daily interaction and communication with Project Management team members
Create and manage 3 week look-ahead schedules
Coordinate task completion and schedules with trade partners
Verify dimensions and layouts
Ensure all submittals are completed in a timely manner
Maintain daily focus on job site safety and ensure security of project perimeter
Responsible for updating daily logs and photos
Partner with Project Management team to ensure timely and accurate close-out process
Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts
Monitor project costs, which include labor time and materials
Attend and participate in required weekly project and subcontractor meetings
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of four years of experience as a Superintendent leading commercial/retail construction projects
Proven experience managing complex construction projects on short timetables
Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
Demonstrate proficiency in reading commercial construction plans and specifications
Collaborative and team-oriented
High school diploma required, trade school or college education preferred
10 or 30 Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Certification preferred
Ability to work with tools to perform various phases of construction work is a plus
Valid driver's license required
Software Systems:
Microsoft Office experience required
Procore experience highly preferred
Timberline/Sage experience preferred
Basic working knowledge of Zoom or MS Teams
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in Boston, MA. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Schimenti's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $95,000 - $135,00.000 salary per year.
