Essential Duties:

Create and maintain strong working relationships and reputation with community organizations and leaders.
Serve as a principal point of contact and support for candidates going through the KLN employment process to answer questions and troubleshoot as needed.

Help connect community members and job candidates to appropriate KLN staff when needed.

While the Bilingual Outreach Coordinator is not an interpreter, translator or HR professional, they may be asked to help in filling these needs occasionally. Takes temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, blood pressure, height and weight to detect deviations from normal, and gauges progress of patient following provider's order
Observes, reports and documents subjective/objective data to maintain an accurate and timely medical record
Observes emotional stability of patients, expresses interest in their progress and prepares them for continuing care; explains procedures and treatments ordered to gain patient's cooperation and allay apprehension
Cooperates with all nurses in providing quality care to the patients, works with other departments to provide seamless, quality care to all patients
Orders labs, completes pre-visit planning, rounds with nursing staff and floats throughout the clinic to assist where needed (regional float)
Competencies required include:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to providing excellent customer service, patient care and overall experience
Understanding of health care system and continuum of care
Strong computer skills with ability to become skilled in EPIC with training
Education and experience required:
Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Minnesota
Or Medical Assistant Certification
