NPG of Monterey-Salinas, CA is seeking a highly motivated AccountExecutive with a proven record of success to join our team. As an AccountExecutive you will be responsible for generating revenue from the sale of television airtime to local advertisers for our four stations, KION-CBS, NION-FOX, KMUV-Telemundo, and KCBA-CW, as well as web properties and a full digital suite of products. This role involves but is not limited to identifying, developing, and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers to drive sales growth and revenue.
Responsibilities:
Develop, manage and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to increase sales volume and expand product/service offerings.
Conduct needs assessments to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
Aggressively pursue new business through cold calling, prospecting, and networking.
Negotiate prices and prepare contracts and terms with customers to close deals.
Provide exceptional customer service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Work with an experienced team of accountexecutives to represent our stations and develop new accounts.
Organize information into oral and written presentation forms for client sales.
Timely completion of internal paperwork, including weekly sales planners and any other reports requested.
Attending sales meetings and any required training.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous media sales experience is preferred, but not required.
Knowledge of broadcast and digital media including but not limited to advertising rates, programming, ComScore/Nielsen ratings and market competition.
Excellent verbal, written, and computer communication skills.
Highly motivated and extremely well organized.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software (WOMS, Strata, Shared Builders)
Strong local market knowledge and contacts.
Strong analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required.
Knowledge of community events and involvements.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license and current insurance coverage.
Sufficient mobility for traveling to clients' places of business.
Salary Range: $42k-$100k ($42k draw plus commissions, based on experience).

The Role: AccountExecutive (Real Estate Acquisitions)

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Business Development/Outside Sales Representative to join our growing sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with prospective clients, and expanding our market presence. You will work closely with our internal teams to understand customer needs, present solutions, and close sales in a competitive landscape.
NOTE: This role requires office hours in our Jersey Village office on Mondays and as needed for training. However, the vast majority of its duties will be conducted in Sugar Land & Missouri City.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify and target potential customers in the assigned territory through various means, including cold calls, networking events, trade shows, and digital outreach.
Sales Presentations & Meetings: Conduct product presentations, demos, and sales meetings with potential clients to understand their needs and propose tailored solutions.
Relationship Building: Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor and offering ongoing support to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
Market Research: Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to effectively position the company's offerings and identify growth opportunities.
Negotiation & Closing: Lead the negotiation process and close deals in a timely manner while ensuring that terms align with the company's goals and profitability.
Sales Reporting & Forecasting: In the CRM, maintain accurate records of all client interactions, sales activities, and opportunities. Provide regular updates and sales forecasts to management.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., marketing, product, and customer service) to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience.
Target Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and KPIs to contribute to the sales department's overall success.
About You:
Proven experience as an Outside Sales Representative, Business Development Representative, or similar role, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
Proficiency in CRM software and Google Suite.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
Strong knowledge of the industry and competitive landscape.
A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

• Identify client needs and develop persuasive proposals to meet needs and opportunities.
• Negotiate rates, advertising packages and terms with media buyers.
• Work directly with clients and ad agency personnel to secure contracts, obtain posting
instructions and collect payments for advertising campaigns. Provide timely post campaign
analysis and proof of performance reports.
• Coordinate and conduct market rides with clients and agencies.
• Utilize CRM system to track client communications, develop and maintain sales pipeline.
• Monitor competitive media to identify opportunities in the Austin Market.
• Regularly monitor and review account activity with the General Sales Manager to identify and direct sales opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with regional sales representatives at Reagan when the demand for the national inquiry was driven by regional relationships.
• Support the President and SM's in the development of budgets relating to the national revenue for the organization.
• Maintain a high level of visibility throughout the advertising community at large.
• Attend annual OAAA/GeoPath national conventions to stay on top of industry trends and to
network with partner agencies.
• Travel with GSM to NYC, Chicago, LA and other agency locations, typically 3-4 total trips per year. (These trips were suspended during COVID, but we hope to resume when appropriate.)
Qualifications

• Have prior, verifiable success in national / inside advertising sales or sales coordination.

• Have prior experience collaborating with multiple teams (for example Client Direct Marketing Team, Creative Agency, Production Agency, Buying Agency).
