The main function of an English Language Institute Instructor is to help students improve their receptive (reading/listening) and productive (speaking/writing) abilities in English. The ELI offers classes to high beginner (CEFR A2-B1) and Intermediate (CEFR B1-B2) learners. Classes typically run four days/week for approximately 2.5 hours of instruction per day. Instructors in the English Language Institute should be able to maintain regular attendance, monitor and record student progress, and use provided instructional materials and frameworks to design differentiated lessons with clear communicative goals in mind.
