The CertifiedNursingAssistant Opportunity:
Under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse, the CertifiedNursingAssistant (CNA) provides high-quality, person-centered care to residents of Mount View Care Center. The CNA supports residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitors and reports changes in condition, contributes to maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment, and promotes resident dignity, independence, and choice. This role serves as a key member of the interdisciplinary care team and ensures a respectful, homelike atmosphere for all individuals in the nursing home.
Compensation and Benefits:
The starting pay range for this role is $19.40 - $21.13 plus $1.00 shift differential for all PM and NOC shifts, based on education and experience.
We have full-time and part-time shifts available.
Full-time and part-time positions open. Shifts are 6:00am-2:30pm, 2:00pm - 10:30pm or 10pm-6:30am

What Qualifies You:
Required:
Current certification as a CertifiedNursingAssistant on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry.
Ability to lift and support residents safely.
Computer literacy, which includes electronic medical records.
Preferred:
More than 2 years of experience in long-term care of a nursing home setting.
In evaluating candidates for this position, North Central Health Care may consider a combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position.
What a CertifiedNursingAssistant does at NCHC:
Provide hands-on care with ADLs including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting/incontinence care, feeding, and mobility support.
Follow individualized care plans and ensure care is delivered in alignment with resident goals, preferences, rights, and safety needs.
Assist with ambulation, transfers, and positioning using gait belts, non-mechanical aids, and mechanical lifts (sit-to-stand, full-body lifts).
Provide restorative and range-of-motion exercises as assigned.
Answer call lights promptly and ensure timely, compassionate response to resident needs.
Assist residents with assistive devices, prosthetics, colostomy appliances, and adaptive equipment.
Support residents during mealtimes, including set-up, per-meal grooming, feeding assistance, documentation of intake, and ensuring nutritional safety.
Observe and report changes in resident physical, emotional, or cognitive status to the Licensed Nurse.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, and interdisciplinary staff while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
Provide input to care conferences and document care accurately in electronic systems.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized resident environment including stocking supplies, making beds, and assisting with resident personal laundry.
Follow infection control protocols, including PPE use, hand hygiene, standard and transmission-based precautions.
Report equipment concerns, safety hazards, or resident rights issues immediately.
Support a calm, homelike atmosphere and assist in minimizing stressors for residents.
Protect resident belongings and promptly report missing items.
Ensure residents are free from abuse, neglect, and restraints.
Honor the residents' right to refuse care and seek alternatives that respect autonomy.
Accurately document ADLs, intake/output, restorative care, and other assigned tasks in the electronic charting system prior to end of shift.
Attending required continuing education, mandatory meetings and complete annual competencies (minimum 12 hours per year).
Participate in onboarding and training of new staff members.
Maintain awareness of unit-specific needs, including ventilator care, dementia care, and end-of-life/hospice support.
Participate in emergency procedures, including identifying Dr. Codes, Security Alerts, and responding appropriately.
Assist with dining room setup, social engagement, and promotion of community-based activities.
Other duties as assigned.

The Hospitality Assistant provides support to residents by assisting with daily living activities, offering companionship, and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Hospitality Assistants are an extension of the CNA team, focusing on non-clinical homemaker and companion tasks so CNAs can concentrate on direct care responsibilities.
In exchange for a commitment of employment at NCHC, we will cover all class costs, material fees and 3 exam attempts. Receive the CNA training class paid for upfront by NCHC, followed up with an offer for a position as a CNA upon successful completion of the CNA class and exams. Assist in the dining room, provide beverages, and help with meal setup and takedown.
Accurately serves correct meal and texture, distributes appropriate assistive utensils and accurately documents meal intakes at mealtimes.
Perform laundry, make beds, and stock resident rooms with necessary supplies.
Pass water to all residents during shift.
Keep resident areas organized, clutter-free, and comfortable.
Visit with residents, accompany them on walks, and provide companionship
Communicate resident needs or concerns to CNAs, nurses, and life enrichment staff.
Collaborate with staff to ensure timely, quality service.
Provide reassurance to residents and promote a caring, homelike atmosphere
Follow all safety and infection prevention protocols, including proper PPE use and hand hygiene.
Report unsafe conditions, supply shortages, or resident concerns promptly to the nurse manager or unit nurse.
Support residents' rights and immediately report suspected abuse, neglect, or misappropriation.
Attend training and education throughout the year as needed.
Completed required annual online competency modules.
Maintain regular onsite attendance.
