The Opportunity:
The Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) - CNA works to create a healing environment for the individuals in the treatment programs. A BHP provides direct care and treatment services for individuals needing support, care, and treatment for mental health and/or AODA problems.
We have full and part-time roles available. The shifts on our units are 6am - 6pm or 6pm - 6am. Our wages range from $19.00-$22.25 per hour based on experience, licensure and education. We also offer shift differentials for pm and overnight hours.

What You'll Do:
BHP's will collaborate within one of NCHC's Acute Care which include: adult behavioral health hospital, youth behavioral health hospital, adult crisis stabilization facility, youth crisis stabilization facility, and Lakeside Recovery AODA/mental health residential unit.
Promotes Person Centered Care in all interactions with patients/clients.
Provides and supports treatment in groups or on an individual basis. Treatment includes self-care, basic living skills, leisure, social skills, coping skills, self-esteem, therapeutic arts/crafts, de-escalation, etc.
Assists in development of treatment planning and collaborates with team to prevent adverse outcomes.
Performs general patient care services and assigned department duties including activities of daily living, medication administration/management, cleaning, inventory, etc.
Demonstrates comfort and participation in providing client/patient de-escalation and physical restraint/seclusion measures as needed during behavioral health emergencies within the Acute Care department and other NCHC departments/programs.

BHP II: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
Skills & Knowledge:
Knowledge of verbal de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques
Reliable attendance and transportation

The Life Enrichment Aide Opportunity:
The Life Enrichment Aide - CNA assists in developing and implementing engaging, person-centered activity programs to meet the physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual needs of residents. This position supports meaningful engagement and improved quality of life through structured and spontaneous activities, both in group settings and one-on-one interactions. Duties may also include limited CNA support tasks, transportation for outings, and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to promote holistic resident well-being.
Compensation and Benefits:
The starting pay range for this role is $19.16 - $20.86, based on education and experience.
This position is full time and in person. The hours are typically 11:30am - 8:00pm working weekdays, every other weekend and every other holiday.

What Qualifies You:
Required:
Minimum 18 years of age.
Current Wisconsin CNA license
Minimum of 1 year of experience in activities, recreation, or social programming.
Current Wisconsin driver's license and a clean driving record.
Preferred:
Current BLS certification

Plan, prepare, and lead group, small group, sensory, and one-on-one activity programs that encourage socialization, self-expression, and enjoyment.
Tailor programming to meet residents' varying functional and cognitive levels, particularly within the dementia program.
Motivate and engage residents using creative, therapeutic, and individualized approaches.
Support spiritual, recreational, intellectual, and emotional activities consistent with person-centered care.
Coordinate and lead special events, theme days, and community outings to foster connection and enjoyment.
Prepare materials and ensure proper setup and cleanup for activities.
Encourage independent leisure by providing individualized materials or adaptive tools.
Assist residents with meals, mobility, transfers, and toileting needs as appropriate.
Maintain required CNA documentation and comply with care standards and privacy regulations.
Provide support and supervision during community events and offsite programs.
Accurately document resident attendance, engagement levels, and observations in Matrix or other approved systems.
Report behavioral or condition changes promptly to nursing or supervisory staff.
Participate in care planning discussions as appropriate.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and facility privacy standards.
Assist with housekeeping related to programming areas (cleaning tables, sanitizing materials, tidying rooms).
Maintain safe and organized program environments.

Under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides high-quality, person-centered care to residents of Mount View Care Center. The CNA supports residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitors and reports changes in condition, contributes to maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment, and promotes resident dignity, independence, and choice. This role serves as a key member of the interdisciplinary care team and ensures a respectful, homelike atmosphere for all individuals in the nursing home.
Compensation and Benefits:
The starting pay range for this role is $19.16 - $20.86 plus $1.00 shift differential for all PM and NOC shifts, based on education and experience.
We have full-time and part-time shifts available.
Full-time and part-time positions open. Shifts are 6:00am-2:30pm, 2:00pm - 10:30pm or 10pm-6:30am

Assist residents with assistive devices, prosthetics, colostomy appliances, and adaptive equipment.

Observe and report changes in resident physical, emotional, or cognitive status to the Licensed Nurse.

Aspirus Health is a nonprofit, community-directed health system based in Wausau, Wisconsin, serving northeastern Minnesota, northern and central Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
