Compensation: $21.00 - 22.00 /hr The Mobile Unit Driver will also serve as the Patient Monitor who is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and the clinic property. The Patient Monitor will uphold a compassionate and respectful approach while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Safely operate and transport the mobile medical unit (large commercial vehicle) to designated service locations in compliance with all traffic, safety, and organizational policies.
Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including mileage, condition, and maintenance needs.
Maintain vehicle readiness, including fuel levels, oil, tire pressure, cleanliness, and overall mechanical condition.
Operate and monitor onboard systems such as generators, HVAC, leveling jacks, lighting, and refrigeration units.
Coordinate and report vehicle repairs or maintenance needs with approved vendors.
Monitor weather conditions, road hazards, and site accessibility to ensure safe and timely travel.
Maintain accurate driving logs, maintenance records, inspection documentation, and compliance reports.
Assist licensed medical staff with the transport, securing, and handling of medications and medical supplies in accordance with all federal and state regulations.
Maintain appropriate temperature controls for medication storage during transport, following pharmacy and manufacturer guidelines.
Assist with the loading, unloading, setup, and breakdown of medical equipment and supplies at each mobile clinic site.
Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, HIPAA, and all organizational safety and security protocols.
Participate in safety drills, emergency preparedness activities, and mobile unit readiness checks.
Immediately report vehicle incidents, safety concerns, or operational hazards per organizational procedures.
Attend required trainings, certification renewals, and staff meetings as scheduled.
Support disaster response, emergency outreach, or special deployment operations as assigned.

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Versiti Supervisor Transportation, executes standard processes and policies for transportation courier services including blood product hospital deliveries and returns, donor center and mobile blood pick-ups, supply deliveries, distribution site transfers, Diagnostic Lab sample pick-ups, Pharmacy deliveries, and Donor Testing Lab tube deliveries, in a safe and timely fashion while meeting customer expectations and complying with applicable regulatory standards.

The target salary for this position is $18.29 per hour.
The target salary is based on internal averages. Versiti sets salary ranges aligned to local markets in which the job is performed. Compensation decisions take into account internal salary averages and differentiation based on education, experience, skills, and performance. Responsibilities
Executes Versiti policies and procedures for internal blood product hospital deliveries and returns, donor center pick-ups, equipment, interoffice mail, supply deliveries, distribution site transfers, Diagnostic Lab sample pick-ups, Pharmacy deliveries, Donor Testing Lab tube deliveries
Ensures the safety, purity, potency and efficacy of products by following Versiti procedures in handling of all blood and blood products
Communicates any fleet maintenance needs, completes pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuels vehicles, and general vehicle upkeep
Organize non-scheduled STAT deliveries and special requests to maintain efficiency and meet customer requirements
Practices defensive driving techniques, complete vehicle driving and safety training course (online or in person)
Executes Versiti customer service strategies designed to meet and/or exceed customer requirements
Completes all Versiti required training on time
Adheres to the laboratory safety policies as outlined in the department manual and employee handbook
Responsible for vehicle cleanliness, assuring no products, equipment, samples or materials remain in the vehicle at the end of the shift
Appropriate appearance and uniform required
Complete all paperwork correctly
Demonstrates courtesy for other drivers and consideration for weather and road conditions
Performs other duties as assigned

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transportation & Driving
Safely drive and deliver RVs to designated locations on schedule
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure roadworthiness
Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
RV Setup & Breakdown
Set up RVs at the locations, including leveling, stabilizing, and connecting utilities (water, power, sewer)
Break down and prepare RVs for transport after use
Ensure proper operation of all RV systems upon setup
Maintenance & Upkeep
Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, slide-outs, awnings, etc.)
Identify and report mechanical or system issues promptly

Patient Support

As appropriate, triaging phone calls and following up on patient requests. Answering screening prioritizing and delegating large amounts of telephone inquiries in a friendly professional manner including de-escalation skills for disgruntled patients

This is a full-time, at-will position with variable hours, typically night shifts. Linehaul drivers benefit from consistent meet-and-turn routes, no-touch freight, and daily home time. Physical Requirements:
Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, and move loads that may weigh up to 50 pounds or more, often multiple times a day.
Pushing and Pulling: Capability to push and pull products, sometimes using hand trucks or pallet jacks, often up to 2500 pounds with assistance.
Standing and Walking: Frequent standing and walking around the vehicle and in and out of customer locations throughout the day.
Bending, Kneeling, and Crouching: Regular bending, kneeling, or crouching for loading, unloading, and securing cargo.
Endurance and Stamina: Ability to sit for long hours while driving and work extended shifts, sometimes up to 10-12 hours.
Adaptability to Weather Conditions: Ability to work in various weather conditions, and extreme temperatures, as well as adjust driving and loading/unloading practices to ensure safety in these environments.

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Class A Linehaul Driver to transport freight between company terminals or customer locations. This is a no-touch freight role, and drivers return home daily. You will play a key role in ensuring timely, efficient deliveries while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and excellent customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
No Touch Freight: Transport freight without handling or loading/unloading.
Safety Compliance: Follow all required safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
DOT Compliance: Accurately complete pre- and post-trip inspections, driver logs, and all necessary service reports.
Timely Deliveries: Ensure on-time pickups and deliveries to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with dispatch and terminal personnel, reporting any delays, incidents, or route changes.
