Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide direct special education services to students directly to meet the requirements of their Individualized Education Plan, and to address other educational needs
Work with teachers, Principal, specialists, parents and CSEs to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Assume personal responsibility for the academic progress of all students
Implement a coherent, research-based curriculum in consultation with Principal
Differentiate lesson plans for students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in an inclusion setting and implement IEPs as necessary
Implement all State and Federal mandates for students with IEP's
Document all lesson plans, assignments, rubrics and other instructional materials and methods
Use consistent school-wide practices and a variety of individualized methods to engage students in the classroom
Use technology tools for instruction, planning, and communication and ensure student engagement
Communicate effectively and maintain strong relationships with students, families, colleagues and administrators
Establish, involve, and assist students in the development, maintenance, and evaluation of portfolios
Pay Transparency: The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $96,000. Base pay offered may vary within the posted range based on several factors, including but not limited to education, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

Position Summary
The Academy Charter Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher works to deepen students' mastery of the English Language through reading and writing. Overview of Your Role

Education and Experience:
Required - Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university

General role:
Under the direction of the Education Disability Coordinator promotes the theories and principles of child growth and development, early childhood education, and family support. Puts into practice theories and sound principles of child education.
Responsibilities:
Supervise a group of children independently under the direction of the Education/Disability Coordinator implementing and complying with the education program standards and coordinating all components of the program as they apply to her/his classroom.
Education / Experience / Requirements:
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development from an accredited institution.
Accepted: Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 6 credit bearing courses relevant to competencies in early childhood education AND experience working with young children.
Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.

Key Responsibilities (InfantLeadTeacher)
Design Engaging Infant Lesson Plans: Create nurturing, age-appropriate learning experiences based on early childhood development best practices, including tummy time, sensory play, language development, and milestone-focused activities.
Maintain Safe & Happy Environments: Ensure a clean, safe, organized, and emotionally supportive infant classroom aligned with all childcare licensing regulations and center policies.
Monitor Infant Growth & Development: Observe and track developmental milestones (cognitive, social-emotional, fine/gross motor) and celebrate each child's progress.
Communicate with Families Daily: Build strong partnerships with families by sharing updates, photos, and cheerful moments through our mobile app and daily communication tools.
Collaborate with Teaching Staff: Work closely with assistant teachers and other infant educators to ensure a warm, engaging, and consistent learning environment.
Health, Safety, & Care Routines: Perform essential caregiving tasks such as feeding, diapering, nurturing, comforting, and maintaining consistent routines that support each child's well-being.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience as an InfantLeadTeacher or similar role in a licensed childcare, daycare, or early childhood education center.
Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field preferred; High School Diploma/GED required.
Knowledge of state and local childcare licensing requirements, infant safety standards, and appropriate classroom ratios.
Strong understanding of infant development, responsive caregiving, and early learning best practices.
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
