POSITION PURPOSE:
The Special Projects/IT Manager is responsible for collaborating with the ProjectManager and Deputy ProjectManager for performance of special projects necessary for the efficient operations of the Infrastructure Support Services contract. This role provides the technical and administrative management/oversight of assigned projects.
In addition, this position is responsible for collaborating with the ProjectManager, Deputy ProjectManager, and corporate to support efficient and quality completion of IT services. This includes field oversight, cost control, subcontractor management, and client interface. Supervise performance and schedules, monitor progress, and initiate action to ensure project objectives and schedules are met and work is performed timely and effectively.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides direct oversight for all assigned projects, programs, subcontracts, and other activities as assigned.
Lead critical troubleshooting efforts and provide direction for issues in conjunction with subcontracts/vendors and infrastructure environments.
Oversee a wide range of server, network, and software administration duties including installations, debugging, maintenance, upgrades, and general support of contract systems and applications.
Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of all assigned core infrastructure, ensuring they are secure, reliable, and meet the needs of the organization.
Provide through strong problem-solving skills the diagnosis and resolution of complex technical issues related to assigned tasks and programs
Analyze and solution problems associated with operating system's servers, hardware, applications, and software.
Monitor systems performance and ensure compliance with security standards.
Evaluate & troubleshoot IT infrastructure and Internet connectivity throughout the organization.
Ensures that issues are investigated and resolved, and necessary changes/repairs are performed and documented.
Ensure highly available operating environments utilizing secured on premise, hosted, SaaS, PaaS and cloud platforms.
Evaluate current infrastructure investments and drive efficiencies, innovations and automations through new and existing tools.
Build lasting client relationships through demonstrated excellence in engagement delivery and personal networking, support development, execution and delivery of solutions and information to the client to secure lasting client relationships.
Responsible for ensuring cyber policies and best practices are met
Demonstrate leadership and understanding of business processes and risk management.
Provide strong background in working with government requirements and frameworks (i.e., DOE Orders, NIST, etc.) to ensure compliant systems. Assists in cybersecurity related tasks as needed.
Assist in developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining compliance with disaster recovery plans.
Assists in management of enterprise environments and maintain knowledge of current IT environment and industry IT trends to drive strategy and innovations and communicate this information to the engagement team and client management through written correspondence and verbal presentations, as assigned.
Lead and execute projects with a diverse team through the system lifecycle including, assessments, reviews, improvements, designs and/or implementation to identify improvement opportunities in the areas of process efficiency, operation, and security.
Ensures that assigned personnel are adequately supplied with information, materials, tools and equipment.
Identify and evaluate complex business and technology risks and remediation methods to mitigate risks.
Collaborate with other departments within and outside the organization to ensure the IT infrastructure is aligned with the overall business goals and objectives.
Attend and actively participate in weekly meetings.
Coordinate with the rest of the IT team to meet the team objectives.
Supervises assigned personnel, including staffing and performance management.
Ensures that assigned personnel observe all work rules.
Responsible and accountable for Safety & Health performance and the communication of safety awareness.
Maintains a safe working environment. Demonstrates awareness and implementation of applicable environmental, safety, and health (ES&H) requirements while also alerting co-workers of such requirements as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree required with ProjectManagement, Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar degree preferred; or a combination of education, experience, training, and certifications can be considered.
Seven (7) or more years of experience in IT Operations with increasing responsibility and diversative experience; Experience in Systems, Applications, Cyber, incident response, and projectmanagement preferred.
Experience leading an IT department or organization, architecting solutions, implementing and supporting software is desired

JOB SUMMARY:
The ProjectManager's role is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to deadlines and stay within the budget. This includes all internal communication with Detailers, Account Managers, and outside suppliers. This will involve key production detail management and scheduling responsibilities, as well as all internal communication, work orders, and coordinating the efforts of team members within all departments of ASTOUND. The ProjectManager will define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout the entire execution of the job.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
Leads the planning and implementation of custom Fabrication projects.
Develops and maintains project files for project completeness.
Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables of custom Fabrication projects.
Defines project tasks and resource requirements.
Managesproject budget and supports team to ensure projects delivers with in the 95% to plan.
Manages and Tracks Third Party services for custom Fabrication projects.
Managesproject resource allocation.
Develops, updates, and maintains accurate project timelines.
Provides direction and support to the project team.
Maintains interaction with the Detailers throughout the production process and negotiates with suppliers regarding budgetary and scheduling issues
Estimates projects (or specific aspects of projects) as required
Produces and executes detailed budgets for projects
Works closely with Account Management and Operations departments to ensure that project budgets are strictly adhered to and that profits are maximized
Creates scope of work with associated budgetary allocations for distribution to the Operations department
Available for client meetings and presentations
Communicates key production details in connection with the production schedule to the Detailers and the Operations department
Approves all requests for payment to vendors for labor and material charges related to jobs
Establishes and coordinates project timelines, monitors progress, investigates delays, and takes or recommends appropriate actions to ensure the schedules are met.
Maintains an accurate record of all historical quotations, invoices, detailed drawings, and final renderings for all projects
Supports operational project files on a server via project workbook
Maintains a personal projectmanagement time log for job costing
Arranges for detailed drawings to be produced as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BS required as a minimum
A minimum of five (5) years of industry experience as a projectmanager
Strong written and oral communications skills
Attention to detail
