The Opportunity EDC is seeking a Project Estimator to work closely with Project Managers to ensure projects are priced competitively, include qualified subcontractors, and meet the client's time and budget constraints. Early involvement of Estimators in project planning is critical to the overall success of our projects. We may require occasional travel. What You'll Do Work closely with the Project Managers during the preconstruction phase. Conduct scope of work evaluations, bid preparation, take-offs, and risk assessment on each job. Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clients. Responsible for conceptual, schematic, design development estimates, GMPs, and lump sum bids. Formulate advice upon reviewing all aspects of a project and participate in meetings with the owner, architect, and engineer to discuss your advice. Lead preconstruction review meetings. Plan and establish appropriate quality assurance/quality control processes into project models. Perform other duties as necessary or assigned. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement. **Responsibilities:** + Prepare detailed estimates for large-scale data center projects across civil, structural, architectural (CSA) scopes, and related systems. + Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and technical documents to develop accurate cost projections. + Develop and maintain cost databases and benchmarking for construction systems. + Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment on scope, budget, and schedule. + Conduct risk assessments and value engineering to optimize project costs. + Support bid evaluations and provide recommendations based on cost analysis. + Prepare cost reports and present findings to internal teams and clients. + Monitor market trends, pricing, and emerging technologies in construction. + Assist in developing procurement strategies and contractor selection. + Ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices. + Perform quantity take-offs and validate subcontractor proposals for accuracy and completeness. + Participate in design reviews to provide input on cost implications and constructability. + Identify potential cost-saving opportunities through alternative materials or methods. + Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to stay informed on pricing and availability. + SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. **Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). + 6+ years of experience in estimating, preferably on large-scale or mission-critical projects. + Strong understanding of CSA scopes and general construction systems for data centers. + Proficiency in estimating software and tools such as Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, CostX, and familiarity with industry-specific estimating platforms. + Strong knowledge of cost planning principles, lifecycle costing, and pre-construction services. + Experience with budgeting, bid analysis, and procurement processes. + Ability to interpret complex technical documents and provide clear cost insights to stakeholders. + Familiarity with contract administration and compliance standards. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. + Strong communication and negotiation abilities for client and contractor engagement. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. **Additional Information** **_*On-site presence and requirements may change depending on our client's needs._** Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
