POSITION SUMMARY: Northeast Bank is looking for an experienced, motivated, and efficient Commercial Loan Closing Specialist to coordinate National Lending, SBA, and USDA loan closings from initial approval through funding and post-closing loan modifications. The ideal applicant will have excellent organizational skills, an eye towards detail, and the ability to prioritize numerous assignments in a fast-paced work environment. The applicant should also have the ability to professionally communicate with all parties to the transactions, work well both independently and as a member of a team, and provide outstanding customer service to borrowers and referral agents. RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate the closing of National Lending, SBA, and USDA loans with relationship managers, brokers, borrowers, and attorneys Internally manage the closing process from initial approval through funding and boarding, collaborating with the Bank's Legal, Credit Administration, National Lending, and Loan Servicing departments Work with the Asset Management and Relationship Management teams to process, close, and board modification requests for National Lending, purchased, and SBA loans Manage a central Closing Conditions Checklist for all assigned loans and collaborate with the Credit Administration and National Lending teams to collect the required documentation prior to loan closing Ensure that non-legal closing documents/regulatory documents such as, but not limited to, flood determinations and worksheets, CIP, CBO, and W-9 forms are completed correctly Assist with the generation of non-legal closing documents Process funding for loan closings Provide the Loan Servicing team with all the information necessary to board assigned loans including, but not limited to, boarding sheets, posting sheets, amortization schedules, CRA, HMDA, FDICIA, etc. Understand the SBA Standard Operatory Procedure Ensure that regulatory requirements, along with state and federal laws, are adhered to Other duties and responsibilities as requested Successfully pass technical and regulatory examinations required by the Company KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 3-5 years of relevant work experience Bachelor's Degree with a strong track record of performance and leadership Very strong organizational and time management skills Comfort engaging with people in all types of environments (on the phone, in-person, via email) General understanding of small business financing and legal documents Proficient with MS Word and Excel Comfort learning new software systems PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND CONDITIONS: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time. Position Overview: Exceptional mortgage processor sought to support a high-performing origination team. The Loan Processor is responsible for providing quality customer service by obtaining necessary documentation to underwrite the loan and orders third party documentation by communicating directly with the customer and/or Loan Officer. The Loan Processor provides proper disclosures when required by applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Job Responsibilities: Perform a thorough review and analysis of borrower's credit, employment, income, and assets as required by the loan program before submitting to underwriting. Assemble the complete loan package in proper order for underwriting. Verify all required documentation (pre-underwrite) in the file. Complete the required loan checklist. Verify that an application is complete and accurate; identify any potential issues that may arise in underwriting. Prepare a loan approval summary, Forms 1008 and 1003, and ensure the accuracy of all the information printed on the documents; communicate directly with the Loan Originator, customer, and Underwriter to obtain initial and any missing documentation required to qualify for the loan. Review loans for compliance with all mortgage-related regulations (RESPA, TIL, HMDA, Reg. B, etc.) and prepare required disclosures. Communicate with various companies to obtain Property Survey, Flood Certificate, Title Commitment, and payoff information. Verify that vendor orders are complete, invoices are received and in the applicant's E-file. Manage pipeline by completing and submitting reports within allotted turn-around times. Assist set-up of loans. Document all communication related to the loan application in the conversation log. Train and assist supervision of new Loan Processors and other processing personnel. Assist closing, secondary marketing, and loan servicing to obtain and clear outstanding suspense items from CrossCountry Mortgage investors. Available to work varying hours and overtime if needed. Qualifications and Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of residential mortgage processing experience. Experience with Encompass. Working knowledge of RESPA regulations and general knowledge of all mortgage and consumer lending regulations, including but not limited to Regulation Z and Regulation B requirements, and loan documents, preferred. Knowledge of DU, LP, Microsoft Office, and Windows. Excellent math and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills. Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
