* *Demonstrates the following skills: manual dexterity in appropriate use of surgical instrumentation, hemostasis, electrosurgery, bipolar cautery, sponging, clamping, collagens, bone wax, other, suturing skills, knot-tying, stapling, cutting, ligating, vessels, skin closure, sub-cuticular closure, and securing wound drains.*

Job Summary

Administers screening tests under the direction of medical providers and nurses
Assist patient as needed, responding promptly to patient calls and requests
Assists in organizing medical information as needed prior to the patient visit
Cleans, sanitizes, and sterilizes instruments, equipment and exam room as required
Calls in prescriptions accurately and timely; prepares prescription refills in the EHR
Answers telephone, makes same day appointments and takes messages for nurses and doctors.
Tracks imaging and lab results
Maintains supplies in exam rooms, inventories, and restocks usable items; washes, wraps and sterilizes instruments as required
Maintains a clean, safe, orderly work area and stocks clinical areas
Orders supplies
Maintains refrigerator temperature log
Adheres to center infection control policies
Actively participates in quality improvement
Maintains accurate documentation in medical records and performs documentation in the patient room
