The Director of Occupational Health & Safety leads the development and execution of CWC's company-wide health and safety program, promoting a culture of safety across all job sites. Key Responsibilities:
Develops and implements a clear vision and program for health and safety for the company, aligning strategies, policies, and programs to build a health and safety culture with industry-leading practices.
Leads and manages Health and Safety Department team to achieve a high performance, customer-oriented work team, through hiring, motivating, coaching, appraising, creating accountability, and resolving issues related to staff.
Provides proactive leadership by anticipating problems, providing solutions, sharing knowledge, and providing training as needed.
Interacts cross-functionally with CWC team members, clients, subcontractors, and inspectors to ensure teams are operating in accordance with CWC's safety programs, and contractual and regulatory requirements.

Participate in the review of CWC's Subcontractor Default Insurance program health and safety submittals. Assist with evaluation and assessment of health and safety programs of subcontractors including performance on past projects.
Regularly evaluates the effectiveness of safety initiatives and monitor results to make improvements or take corrective action.
Ensure health and safety training criteria meets the needs of internal and external (CWC, client & regulating entities) requirements. Develop training programs as needed to ensure understanding and execution of criteria.
Develop and manage personnel training and certifications, keeping up to date records for expirations, reporting, and actively tracking/setting up training for new employees and those with expiring certifications.
Leads incident investigations, ensures participation in the incident review process, and disseminates lessons learned to appropriate stakeholders.
Manages hazard assessment activities to ensure projects are properly planned and coordinated to achieve project schedule timelines while maintaining health and safety expectations.
Develop annual plans & budgets for health and safety initiatives.
Provide expertise and guidance on safety-related issues to management, employees, and outside vendors/consultants
Conduct site-specific safety audits and inspections to assess compliance of safety plans, effectiveness of safety managers and identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure ongoing alignment and coordination of safety-related initiatives.
Leads the Corporate Safety Committee.
Actively participates in industry organizations at board or committee level; represent the Company at networking functions, career fairs, trade shows, etc.
Integrate technology and software solutions into health and safety management practices as appropriate.
Work with CWC Human Resources as required to manage workers' compensation claims.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years' commercial construction safety management experience; or a combination of education and experience.
Extensive knowledge of Federal and State-specific OSHA and EM385 regulations.
Experience in leading and managing teams to achieve established and measurable goals.
Familiarity with best practices in loss prevention, post-injury response, and claims management.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and change management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety Management, Environmental Science, Occupational Health or other related field.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credential.
Wage Transparency
In accordance with the Maryland Wage Transparency Law, the base salary range for this position is: $150,000.00 - $190,000.00

We are leaders in bridge, transit, foundation, tunnel, and water/wastewater construction while specializing in cast-in-place concrete, structural steel erection, earthwork, pile driving, and caissons. Kiewit's Eastern District also has a large amount of work in the energy/power sector in various northeast locations. **Location**
This person will work on a large heavy civil infrastructure construction project in the Baltimore, MD area.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist in the development, review, updating, and communication of the SSSP to everyone including subcontractors.
+ Collaborate with the craft every day in the field to encourage buy-in of our safety program and to support craft ownership of the safety program.
+ Exercise Stop Work Responsibility to ensure adherence to company policies, regulations, work plans, work packs, and detailed work plans.
+ Plan, prioritize, and problem-solve with operations in the field every day based on leading indicator trends and upcoming work.
+ Encourage, support, inspire, and advise staff and craft employees to execute the SSSP.
+ Assist with maintaining project files in compliance with OSHA/MSHA regulations and in compliance with our policies including accident/injury files.
+ Assist with first aid and maintain relationships with emergency medical services and clinics.

The work environment and requirements described below are representative of those necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
**The Physical Side of the Role:** This is an active, hands-on role. You can expect to be on your feet frequently, navigating active job sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. In this role you will focus on:
Responsibilities:
* Maintain Safety & Health Program in compliance with local, state and federal regulations; ensure updates to relevant regulations are incorporated into local program and communicated within the operation

* Review, cascade, and develop action plans for intracompany Safety Alerts pertaining to local operations

* Facilitate risk assessment & corrective action tools for team members to identify and mitigate workplace hazards
* Oversee safety improvement projects cooperatively with local and divisional leadership groups
* Consult, as safety representative, through all stages of management of change process (procedures/equipment)
* Collaboratively manage and deliver local safety training program utilizing various training formats
* Actively respond to and engage in coworker safety concerns, encouraging team member involvement in solutions and leveraging internal resources to ensure concerns are addressed effectively and efficiently
* Active participant and respectful safety representative in meetings demonstrating a "safety always" mindset

Qualifications:
* Education and Experience:
* Bachelors of Science degree in Occupational Safety/related program or equivalent professional experience
* 3-5 years' experience managing safety in a manufacturing/distribution environment

About the Role
The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for leading all facets of Environmental Health and Safety including policy creation, implementation of programs, interpretation, reporting of information, employee training, workers' compensation administration, OSHA compliance and safety of all workers. Additional duties include the management of all applicable federal, state, and local environmental laws, standards, and permits; and has responsibility for maintaining facility compliance with applicable environmental permit conditions, environmental regulations including air, stormwater, wastewater, solid, and/or hazardous waste.
This position reports to the Plant Manager with a dotted line to the Divisional EHS Manager and is part of the Operations team located in Red Lion, PA. This candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining a culture of health and safety excellence.
What You'll Do
Evaluate effectiveness of existing EHS programs; determine the need for additional programs; Supervise and support site management in maintaining programs (e.g., LOTO, Confined Space, Hearing Conservation, HazCom).
Ensure compliance with all environmental standards, including government permits, programs, and reporting requirements.
Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all associates; track certifications and license renewal and maintain records.
Prepare reports, records, and plans as required by regulatory permits, plans, or agreements.
Manage and maintain ISO 45001 and 14001 certifications.
Coordinate and lead the Safety Committee; make periodic safety and housekeeping inspections throughout facilities.
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements in safety procedures, risk mitigation, and emergency response planning. Implement best practices to enhance the overall safety performance.
Maintain and communicate EHS metrics as required, to facility and/or corporate Operations Management - Acting as the site EHS contact with government EHS agencies and insurers.
Lead and/or participate in the investigation of employee concerns, EHS Incidents, and Employee Observations/Near Misses, along with corrective action development, implementation, and follow-up.
Design and maintain New Hire Safety Orientation program including providing the required training for newly hired teammates.
Handle Workers' Compensation matters including ensuring accident reporting procedures are followed at all facilities.
Maintain OSHA 300 Log, complete annual reports, and post.
Oversee both external and internal safety audits and inspections; manage corrective actions with any non-compliances.
Work with employees at all levels of the organization.
Perform any other responsibilities and assignments as needed.

Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.

What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Environmental Health and Safety or related subject area
Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a management role.
Previous EHS experience in a manufacturing facility.
Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA and EPA compliance programs (e.g., LOTO, RCRA, DOT, PPE, Industrial Hygiene).
EHS certificates such as CSP, ASP, CIH, or CHMM or similar helpful.
Previous experience developing EHS programs, including accident investigation, ergonomics, life safety, machine guarding, air permitting, wastewater, business continuity, and workers' compensation.
Knowledge of management systems such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
Computer Skills:
Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook.
Other Skills and Requirements:
Must maintain current certifications for CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens.
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.

What you will be doing
* Identifies, documents and resolves onsite safety risks or discrepancies during daily site walks. Documents Daily Hazard Analysis (DHA) using Company prescribed procedures and software.
* Evaluates and identifies all safety equipment needs for project work. Participates in daily and weekly meetings to ensure all necessary equipment is ordered, stocked and available for upcoming work.
* Assists in investigations and reporting regarding accidents, injuries or illnesses, fire, property damage and other safety related incidents to ensure timely and compliant resolutions. Recommends improvements based on performed trend analysis.
* Works closely with onsite work crews to provide first aid and emergency services to any onsite injury or incident. Ensures worksite injuries are accurately documented and offsite medical clinics attend to employee injury in an accurate and timely manner.
* Supports evaluation of subcontractors and subcontractor safety programs. Notifies management of any non-compliant safety procedures and participates in corrective action discussions to resolve in a timely manner.
* Presents toolbox talk content to project site staff within the prescribed frequency, as determined by manager.
* Presents the progress of the project safety program to leadership, as directed.

* Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Health & Safety or related field preferred.
* 3+ years construction or safety experience required.
* Able to identify onsite project safety risks and recommend mitigation within safety and project program requirements.

**Responsibilities**
+ Drive the Clark safety culture on a project.
+ Oversee and ensure the safety of employees, trade partners, and general public.
+ Enforce corporate and project specific safety and health programs as well as federal, state, and local safety standards.

**Basic Qualifications**
+ 2+ years of relevant construction safety experience with an undergraduate degree in safety and health (or related discipline) or demonstrated construction safety and trade experience.

+ Proof of training and experience in managing crane, fall protection, excavation, scaffolds, and heavy equipment safely.
+ Strength in managing multiple competing priorities in a deadline driven environment.

**The Physical Side of the Role:** This is an active, hands-on role. You can expect to be on your feet frequently, navigating active job sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. The work is physically demanding and requires a full range of motion, including bending, kneeling, and reaching. You'll need to be comfortable frequently lifting and carrying materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively, as well as visual acuity for reading plans and inspecting work. The role does include desk time in the office that may require prolonged periods of sitting for tasks like computer work, document review, and meetings.
**Your Work Environment:** You'll spend a significant amount of your time on active construction sites, which means being adaptable to all kinds of weather and moderate to loud noise levels, and comfortable in elevated or confined work areas with moving mechanical equipment and with the fast-paced nature of a project in progress. You will also spend time in a typical office setting with moderate noise levels. Your safety is our top priority, and you'll be expected to follow Clark Construction's safety policies and procedures, and all applicable laws, at all locations.
