TRANSPORTATION/BUS OPERATOR The School Bus Operator supports the ongoing enrichment of Atlanta Public Schools (APS) students through the facilitation of bus services. The incumbent operates the school buses safely under all types of weather conditions, transporting students and other authorized persons to and from school on regular, special education, and other routes. The school bus operator may make extracurricular trips as authorized by the local school system. School Bus Driver QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum qualification age: 21 or older Possess a valid B or A Class Commercial (CDL) Georgia Driving License with a "P" and "S" endorsement. Date of last review: June 2025 SUMMARY : The School Bus Paraprofessional assists in the transportation of learners to and from school by maintaining order and safety of children on the bus and helping learners on and off the bus. The School Bus Paraprofessional schedule is approximately 6:00-4:30pm with 8 working hours. There are multiple unpaid break times throughout the day depending on route schedules.
